Super love this series! Really one of the best!

First episode and I almost drop this one. Thought maybe black comedy isn't my cup of tea. But I went back here and to my surprise, it surpassed Secret Forest rating, which topped my list last year. I couldn't believe it! So I decided to continue watching it because I couldn't accept the fact that this show went beyond SF ratings. Lol. Lo and behold, I fell in love with this series every episode onwards. So glad I continued watching it. It deserves its spot here. And did I mention I watched this twice already? Lol.

The things that I absolutely love about this show are:
1. Plot - It really intrigued me at first. Thought it's something like Miracle in Cell No. 7. Each character has a colorful background story that adds spice to the entire plot.
2. Cast - I love them soooo much! Super love the idea that the director chose fresh faces. You know, you wouldn't know what to expect. The usual people with villain roles esp lt. Paeng became the my oh-so-loved character here. While some actors who are usually the protaganists ended as the antagonists. The chemistry among the actors is superb!

And of course, who wouldn't love Looney?!! Oh my gosh. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't have continued watching this and I would have missed a lot! He played a major role in this show and I so love his banter with Kaist and Cap Yoo. He was excellent! Hope he gets more projects after this!

One more character that will be ingrained in my mind is Park Hae Soo. I've been with kdrama since 2003 and who?! Who was this actor that suddenly popped up and got that main role!? I love him! He's good when he acts dumb, but when he's angry or hurt, he has effectively delivered those emotions. Where have you been, PHS? Lol. So love his bromance with JKH. JKH is, of course, in no doubt owned his role.

Lots of love for this drama. I still have so much to say but you people just watch it for yourself! Lol!

The drama that made me cry buckets and this is listed in my top tear-jerking dramas of all time. For that reason, I cannot and will never ever as in ever in my entire life watch this again. lols

But this drama is so good regardless of the heartache this has caused me. This is just too heartbreaking for me and to think that this was based on real life. Like WHY???? Why does she have to hurt like that?!

I also watched the movie before, and I also cried rivers. lol

P.S. Sawajiri Erika is sooooooooooooooooooooo pretty. I can look at her face all day!

I so love this drama and frustrated that it took time for me to watch it. I just watched it because it has a very high rating here in mydramalist. I watched its rival SITR instead which i didn't get to finish because oh no... such a waste of opportunity for this another could have been. Anyway, I thought Live is going to be something like a sitcom because of LKS. Lol. But oh boy, I was totally wrong. I love how this drama showed the life of police officers, the corrupt force, and their most of the time annoying manual. It didn't focus much on the victims and investigations just like Miss Hammurabi. It's kinda painful to watch and I symphatize with the good policemen. It must have been hard to offer your life to protect the citizens then the same citizens will condemn you about this and that without proper evidence. I also hated how one-sided the media can be at times. After watching this, I don't think a lot of people would want to be a police officer. Lol. I also like that romance was made low-key while putting more focus on their camaraderie.

Anyway, this one is definitely a good watch. I will surely miss the cast. How I hope there's a season 2!

Such a heartwarming drama. The leads did a great job. And it's very rare for me to applaud a japanese actor because I find their acting exaggerated most of the time. But this time, Takuya Kimura as Okita is awesome. His moves are so fluid. I can sense how much he studied real surgeons. Very realistic. Also, when he was stressed out because he couldn't figure out the right procedure, I didn't see him as an actor. I see how a real man look when he's stressed out. Lol.

Mifuyu is also good. When she cries, it's so real. You can sense the fear and the desperation to live despite trying to hide those feelings and pretending to be strong. Oh how she and Masao broke my heart in their last scene together. It was so moving!

This drama is pretty good for someone like me who loves criminal dramas. I watched the first 4 episodes while this was airing, but I don't know why I paused it for a while and only continued watching when I got bored. The cases and investigations are well thought of, probably one of the most brilliant cases in Korean Crime kdrama land (unlike Criminal Minds korean version lol) and the actors did well, oh wait... except for Lee Je Hoon. For a criminal profiler who supposedly understands how criminals' minds work, he's too panicky and it bothers me to watch him. In each case, he seems like he's going to have a heart attack. Especially he is acting next to Kim Hye Soo. The ending is somewhat hanging, but hey I heard there's going to be a season 2 anyway. So, I'll be waiting for that!:)

Oh my Goblin... I've always been a Gong Yoo stan since his Coffee Prince days, so there's no way I'm letting this show go without me watching it. Before I met oppa Ji Chang Wook, because of Gong Yoo's hiatus in the drama land, my heart got swayed, but he will always remain as my first love. LOL. Obviously, he's the main reason I watched this show. And to add icing to the cake, the writer is Kim Eun Sook! I personally believe she's one of the best rom-com writers out there.

What I love most about this drama is their comedic antics especially between goblin and the grim reaper. Their chemistry is on point, even much better than the chemistry between goblin and his bride. Sadly, for me, GY and Kim Go Eun didn't have that much chemistry. But don't get me wrong, their acting is good. It's just that they don't have that vibrant chemistry. Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na's chemistry is even better than them! So love their love story.<3

Some say, the series went downhill after ep 14 and the ending was forced and I somewhat, quite agree. But I also don't know how to end it any other way that would satisfy the viewers, so I have accepted the ending as good enough.

Rewatch Value - If I will watch this again, I will only watch this because of goblin and grim reaper. And Sung Jae, too! lol

P.S. This drama has one of the best soundtracks ever! I Will Go to You Like the First Snow lyrics is so heartbreaking.
I also love how the writer added a poetic touch to the script.:)

Oh, I have such a love-hate relationship with this drama. lol

LOVE
I love how this drama makes you feel. Lol. I looked back to my high school days and relieved the moments when I was like Chen Xiao Xi crushing over the school heartthrob. Plus, Chen Xiao Xi portrayed her character very well. You'd think she's really a teenage girl. I think this is the strength of this drama, it makes the viewers remember those first crushes, first loves that made us all giddy inside. When we thought we will have a happy ever after with them. Even writing this review makes me smile, remembering those happy moments no matter how childish they are. lol

HATE (or dislike maybe? lol)
I hate all the misunderstandings that could have been EASILY resolved if they were more honest with each other or if they just talk it out especially Jiang Chen! You, Jiang Chen! He is the epitome of that smart, but stupid male lead. lol. No matter how cute he is, he is so immature and insecure. He gets jealous of everything when he obviously knows how head over heels Xiao Xi is with him. Sometime, I just wanna smack him in the face to tell him that "the story is pretty simple, why do have to make things complicated!? Can the 2 of you just love, love, love!?" lol

Most people compare this with Love O2O, but I like that one more because that one doesn't have those silly misunderstandings and their relationship is goals--It's balanced and they give and take. If I will compare these 2, A Love So Beautiful is for the immature lovers and Love O2O is for the mature lovers. lol

I just finished this yesterday. Hmmm... what do I say?

I've been watching korean dramas since 2003 and melodramas like this are the trend before. And because I got so used to melodramas, I had been on hiatus in that category. I think The Princess' Man was the last drama that I watched before I've decided to watch a melo again. So, I saw the ratings of this one was pretty surprised it has such high ratings, so I decided to watch it.

This drama is just good for me, not very good, just good. I don't know. The actors are pretty amazing esp Jun Ho and Jin Ah, actually, they are the only reason I continued watching this. I really hate self-pity and those I'll-let-you-go-for-your-own-good scenes, but since these 2 delivered it quite well, I continued watching. Story-wise, I think it resembles the kdramas before in early 2000's wherein there are tons of connections between the actors and complications. The quality of this drama is good, I just feel like I cannot connect. Does someone here feel the same? lol

Music - I love their soundtracks! The songs make you feel nostalgic and suit the scenes really well!

Rewatch Value - ah it's a no for me. This is too heavy for me. Or maybe, this is just not my cup of tea.
