Am so glad they kept the main cast from S1. And so grateful this come out just in time to soothe my heart caused…
I knew he looked off when he appeared and he looked very different with the mask on lol. I was confused at first on who it was. I was thinking maybe the angle lol. Totally agree. I see a little bit of weight on his face but he’s still as dashing as ever.
Omg I’m on episode 6 and I’m loving it. I gave first season a solid 8 but season 2 seems so much better. It’s 4am and i can’t stop watching. I love the main leads.
Just finished season 1 and jumped to season 2 right away! Loving first and second episode so far… but did anyone think the main lead looked so different when he was wearing a mask and was rescuing the FL in the first episode? I was like.. who is that? Lol
I will finish the drama (I’m on episode 15) cause I’m no quitter lol… but I’m not convinced of their love for each other. I do like both the main leads but I’m not gung ho about them as much as Kabby and Ryan from Sweet first love. The only reason i started this drama was because i saw Ryan singing with Liu Te (and other guys from Produced Camp 2019) and i thought Liu Te was cute so had to check out his first main lead drama.
I agree! I enjoyed both her dramas with her as the lead role tremendously. She’s filming a drama or movie right now but i think she’s support role. The article was in Chinese and the google translation isn’t really the best.
I do love the slice of life story but the main leads’ kissing scenes are sooo bad. I started to watch this because they said the romance is better than Sweet First Love but it’s not. Sweet first love might have stupid situations but the main leads chemistry was on point and you get excited about their romance. I’m not so invested on this drama. I’m on episode 30 and i hope it improves later on.
lol. I enjoyed reading your review. I was reading the reviews a few weeks ago and noted that everyone seem to rate this drama super low but i enjoyed it tremendously and even wrote a review myself now just so it has a 10/10 review rating to even out all the negative ones 😂
I was gonna mention on my review that i didn’t find the pseudo siblings weird so it wasn’t a problem for me but i do have a problem with (huge) age gap women with younger men like The Rational Life and that’s why i haven’t watched it despite being a huge fan of Wang Hedi! People already knew they grew up together and are “siblings” and if that bothers them, then don’t watch, right? I don’t watch age gap dramas and complain about the age gap in the reviews. I just don’t watch it at all cause i already know those kind of dramas are not for me.
Oh Shihao’s patch on his neck was from a neck surgery that needed to be covered. Makeup will cause infection and that’s why it needed to be covered like that. His tattoo is on his left side of the neck and there were some scenes where you can see the foundation lines.
He was very handsome in the most natural way in Sweet First Love. He looks very different now based on the pictures I’ve seen recently but can’t wait for his two new dramas that are coming out. And can’t wait for him to be in the main role again, especially if it’s with Kabby again. I thought they had so much chemistry in the drama.
I’m new to Chinese drama… my sister introduced me to meteor garden on January 2 this year and i thought it was awesome. Watched EverNight and loved that too. Saw like 2 other dramas after that i dropped after like 10-12 or so episodes.. one of them being far away love. Anyway, I’ve completed 5 dramas so far and Sweet First Love is my favorite. I’ve r watched a dozen times and still can’t get enough. I thought Ren Shihao was awesome in his acting and Kabby Hui was excellent too. I’ve seen reviews where they said she was horrible but her character is meant to be like that. I got my friend to watch this and she’s enjoying this too.. so far she’s on episode 7 since she can only watch an episode at a time since she’s busy.
Anyway, i read the book and it was much darker but i enjoyed that as well though not as much as the drama. I’m glad the drama is a little lighter and fluffier. Loved all the episodes and i even downloaded them on my hardrive so i can watch it without advertisements (plus better quality picture than the YouTube ones). Love the chemistry of the main leads. I definitely recommend.
