I love whodunit shows and i love this drama. I was going through Angelababy’s dramas and this seemed the most interesting. 24 hours later, i finished it. 8.5/10 for me only for the fact that i won’t rewatched but it kept me entertained the whole 16 episodes.
I like the story but it really bothers me that they all see the female lead as the most gorgeous person in the planet cause 1. She’s too old looking to play the role and 2. She isn’t good looking. I just came off watching the Princess Weiyoung before this so i was spoiled with how good looking Tiffany Tang is. She actually played a pretty average looking girl who isn’t supposed to be as pretty as her sister but let’s be honest now.. Tiffany Tang is better looking than 99% of Chinese actresses and definitely 20x better looking than the actress who played her sister. Ruby and Tiffany can switched roles and it will make much more sense. But anyho… that’s just my rant lol. I enjoyed the story otherwise though i really lost interest once Wallace was gone.
The story is similar to the Princess Weiyoung but Fu Ya isn’t as adorable or as smart as Li Weiyoung. They tried but failed. Yes, I’m aware the drama came out 5 years earlier than the Princess Weiyoung but that’s what they were trying to convey. Otherwise, i did enjoy some parts of the story though i won’t be reading the book (i am almost done reading the Princess Weiyang novel at the moment.)
How is the FL in this season? There are lots of comments on season 1 regarding how annoying she is which makes…
She is the same but i never found her annoying. I thought she was endearing in a naive but over confident way. If they hate her season 1, they’ll hate her season 2. You’ll have to watch it and see where you stand with her. 😁
I am waiting for her to do more lead roles. I would love to see Kabby with new romantic modern or historical drama again.
