This series feels kind of unbalanced. The relationship between Ram & King is very well constructed, very sensitive for nuances of emotions. But the story of Bon and Duean is awfully bland. Duean behaves like society imagines a chaste woman… I mean, nobody expects him to be impaled on the kitchen table on a regular basis, but this “pillow line” nonsense is just implausible. It tastes like a Thai curry prepared with cow milk instead of coconut milk…

Exactly! I totally agree! Just take the last episode, the scene when Brother No 1 and his lover have finished breakfast and almost (!) exchange a kiss. The phone rings and the kissing scene is ruined. How much creativity would it have required to come up with something like “Let it ring, you’re my number one!” – deep kiss – phone ringing again – lover reminds Brother No 1 of his duty to family/business… That’s like 5 seconds more… They have already chosen a Korean guy to play that role, why not write some natural emotion and sense of chivalry into the character???
There is nothing in there that will be remembered, but a few snapshots; no meaningful plot, no characters worth mentioning, no romance, no real development, and no sex either. Tự Tâm & Canh Ba together are around 15 min short, and one still can recognize a proper story in there… I’d give BoY 2020 3.5/10, – for the handsome cast only.
Honestly, I feel kind of betrayed… they could at least have kept the camera focused on the bed scene for a little longer; same with brother No 3 in the shower… I mean, the story is pretty lame already, and then we are even denied the visual joy… grrrrrr........
