I totally agree. I love Manman. She didn't fight with a sword but with words. Although Wei Shao was an enemy, she never once mistreated him. She gave him her best, caring for him even better than his own mother. She kept strategizing and protecting her people without hurting him. She was genuine. She not only cared for her people but him and his. Like Wei Shao said to her, no one could've done it better than Manman who was stuck in the middle between two kingdoms and families. She was always the first to risk her life for each side, get blamed, casted out, suffer, and get hurt when something happened. She was the beauty who used her heart to win him and his people over. She was sooooo well written. She is the true definition of girl power. ❤️🥳

We will never know but knowing how well written this drama was all the way until the abrupt ending, with 4 episodes taken out, we can tell that all the scenes we probably wanted to see like when the leads unite after the final war was cut out as unimportant.

When I read melons of CXX and LLD collaborating again, my heart jumped with joy but the melon seemed to have changed again, so bummer. I started rewatching this again and man, still soooo good!

Why would he want concubines? When his uncle wants those concubines to be spies and control him?

He trusts her because he falsely accused her of something he believed her family would do and realizes she's different. He's not a dummy. He knows when to hate and forgive. He cares for her because he fell for her beauty at first sight? Naturally, his heart is going to soften with time as he spends it with her?

You can tell because Zhou Ye never dresses too showy. She's so classy and fashionable without revealing cleavage, her butt, or midsection.

It may have been a masterpiece if they didn't cut out 4 episodes. Oh how I wish they could release an uncut version now that some censorship rules have loosened on dramas. :)

Yes, it's their own voices. Like NAY said, 80% was on set audio and the rest studio dubbing with their own voices for parts that needed to be corrected or clearer.

I love Zhou Ye to bits and I've been defending this drama since Day 1 but the last 10 episodes were a struggle. I wish the direction and story were executed differently. Anyway, Zhou Ye is extremely pretty and the perfect He Yan, no one could convince me otherwise, but she really needs to work on her emoting. 🫣 I almost felt a disconnect during a lot of the important scenes but that has always been her shortcoming as an actress. But congrats to the drama for all its achievements. I enjoyed the drama for the most part.🥳👏🏼
