Three months after the leads officially broke up and separated at the waterfall scene, the drama explained everything in a few sentences. There's no scenes to explain anything but pretty much, quote on quote from the video: "The capital city changes. Wu deposed. New emperor rises, enacting new policies."
If CXZ didn't see LMT's face in that cave, what did she expect would happen after this entire fiasco? Exit the mountain as if nothing happened? Have him find her safe in the woods and go back home with him? Continue lying and using him? She was surprised that he knew who she was at the waterfall.
Anyway, I'm still rooting for our leads!!! ❤️

Forgive him for what? Lies? But just the fact that she used him to save her over and over, even in Episode 23 in the cave, she knows he loves her and will follow her, so why play the double standard card? He loves her enough to fight her battles, take out her enemies, yet all of sudden, he doesn't love the "right" part of her? If I were her, I'd be ashamed of myself and ask if HE has forgotten his memories that he's Lord Huaiyang, someone who is supposed to capture me, not marry me, put me on some pedal stool, pardon me, and let me go. He has been bending for her left and right. And even if I can't be with him because I'm a criminal, I'd probably turn a new leaf, leave him, leave Ziyu, leave the past behind and start a new life hoping that no one else decides to take me to court.
I can't believe people are defending his actions or seeing ML as somehow redeemed because he wants to marry FL…
Yeah, he should've locked her up in prison for colluding with Lu Wen and ambushing his troops after a truce was promised. Or perhaps like the courts, execution like A Gushan. Let's be real, lying about their identities is nothing compared to what she has done as a bandit leader. Illegal trade, illegal production of arms, illegal money laundering, illegal attacks on state military, illegal attempted murder on Lord Huaiyang who represents the law of the land in that city. So just because she has amnesia, all is good? She's innocent? Even drunk drivers are responsible for people they kill when they wake up. Why should the ML tell her anything? He's trying to crack a case for national security here. Being an equal doesn't make it right for her to keep challenging the law.
Today's episode was pretty good. So far, CXZ isn't a simp. He loves her and will continue to follow her whereabouts because who doesn't towards their ex or crush? But love it that he STANDS his grounds and doesn't back down NOT even for the unworthy emperor Ziyu. 👏🏼🎉
On my WeTV app, Are You The One English version is 3rd? The Chinese version is #1. Haha, the English dub is so bad though. Does this happen often?! It's a first time seeing the dubbing version in the top hits of my region granted I don't watch that many dramas anymore.😂😂
At least there's a consistency to CXZ, once he loves someone, their past doesn't matter. He's still protecting her from harm and doesn't ever think about leaving her. His love for her, with their true identities out in the open, is deeper than hers for him right now. She knows the truth that Sun Yun Er was behind the attacks on both sides, but he doesn't, so that's why he's half still angry at her for the death of his soldiers yet still loves her that he doesn't know what to do with her yet but for sure, marriage is still in mind. Hahah.
