That's exactly what happened. I love how Wang An Yu, the actor who portrayed Yuan Qi said about his character, "At first, he liked her. Then he loved her. Then he 'hopelessly' loved her." Ain't that the sweetest thing?🥹❤️

Oops, sorry. I think I misread your post up there thinking you already watched the drama and was asking questions to clarify the ending. 😂 In my opinion, you should watch this drama. I may have given you too much info, so sorry for the confusion. You can refer back to this post when you're almost done with the drama, it'll make more sense. ☺️
Just a random thought. After Episode 35, Yuan Qi and Feng Yin patched up, so why couldn't they just make a marriage contract to avoid the rest of the thunder punishment for the god light? Yuan Qi had to take the remainder in Episode 37. Lol No matter what, their wedding was real and their feelings too. They could've continued their contract from Episode 13, this time, with no interference.
Its finally completed on netflix now should I watch this? Also, is Feng Yin still the ruler at the end?
Feng Yin gave the heavenly title to Ao Ge to rule the immortal realm, so she can collect all good things, spiritual aura, into the pagoda to help Yuan Qi revive quicker then the 1,000 years passed.
In the last scene before the 1,000 years, Feng Yin is in the mortal realm looking at the busy street market collecting spiritual aura, she's still wearing the Phoenix Queen ring. However, after 1,000 years have passed, during Hong Yi and Yan Shuang's wedding, I don't see Feng Yin wearing the ring anymore when she brushes Yan Shuang's hair or when she's holding the pagoda at the very last scene when Yuan Qi returns, so my guess is, she's also no longer the Phoenix Queen. Or maybe she is wearing the ring but the camera angle isn't clear.
@Alexasopretty Here's another parallel. Feng Yin wasn't supposed to survive because she was an anomaly. That's…
Feng Yin was meant to perish in the beginning and Yuan Qi was meant to perish towards the end BUT it was their true love that changed fate and extended their destiny together. Yeppp, they totally belong to each other!
Happy Anniversary to everyone here and the cast and crew over there! Thank you for being my happy pill all last year! As time passes, I realize, it's very hard to surpass such a masterpiece. :) Take care everyone!
I initially dropped this at episode 11 but later decided to give it another chance. First off I want to say that…
The character development, how well the story flowed, both of the friendship to love relationships, the mistakes to redemption were major highlights to me. This drama didn't have to be groundbreaking to be meaningful and enjoyable. I really enjoyed this simple love story about how a boy hopelessly loved a girl and did everything including sacrificing all that he possessed, even his life so many times and in different ways, to save her and be with her. I'm glad we got to see them together again at the end.
Also, all my friends and their parents in Asia are watching TLI and loving it! Their Twitter feeds are full of…
It's funny because the dramas that I loved in 2023 like The Starry Love, My Journey To You, and this one, The Last Immortal, did good domestically but awesome overseas. Everyone I know in other regions are so into this drama, too.
The amount of views for this drama already shows that it's a hit.
After finishing ALP, I love Yuan Qi in here even more. Hahah. Yuan Qi will always be Yuan Qi, mischievous, kind, and responsible. They kept both Yuan Qis in different dramas consistent and the same in my opinion, one is just a child and the other, a teenager. Just like how this Yuan Qi liked Hua Shu because she was "kind", the child Yuan Qi in ALP also wanted to marry Feng Ran because she was kind and took care of him. He's always mistaking feelings of gratefulness for love.
Yuan Qi was always peeing in ALP and our Yuan Qi even had to poop. Hahah.
Then when Yuan Qi unknowingly peed in Dong Hua's Spiritual Spring, Yuan Qi took responsibility for his actions and got slapped by Wu Huan.
People call Yuan Qi dumb but he's really just a carefree child who likes to take responsibility for his actions and others, if he can. Yuan Qi was obsessed with weapons in ALP, so I'm glad his mommy left him the best Spirit Sword in here.
