I'm currently watching this and I fear I'll do the same once it's over π
Hmm simple without angst and drama right? Let me think about it... Usually I don't mind dramas having light angst or more as long as the ending is happy lol So your request is a bit special >< But probably these should fit : When I Fly Towards You, Hidden Love, Meeting You, Falling Into Your Smile, Falling into You, I Am Nobody (kinda diferent genre from the rest but is really good and funny^^), Go Ahead (it does have a bit of angst like Always home).
And for Historical: New Life Begins, Song of Youth, A Girl Like Me, Dream of Splendor, Blossoms in Adversity, Wrong Carriage, Right Groom, Love Between Tiger and Rose,
I'm currently watching this and I fear I'll do the same once it's over π
Haha that's okay join me >< Like, seriously I finished this back in February and even though I've moved on since then and found other great series to watch, I still can't help myself but drop by here from time to time...Maybe it's because the plot felt so raw and relatable as a Uni student myself who will soon enter the "Adult world". It truly spoke to my soul especially Song Cong's and Huan er's life journeys and monologues on the final ep.
You know this drama hits differently when you still visit the comment section after months and start tearing up while reading the new comments...I don't think I will move on anytime soon π
Only goes downhill from there. Probably why they divided up the release as 4-5-3 rather than even numbers
Omg you might actually be onto smth! When the eps first came out I was so surprised week 2 had 5 eps instead of 4! I guess even the PD nim didn't expect the season to go the way it did...Cause he even mentioned in an interview that he thought the whole prison vs living area differently in his head and that some of the contestants didn't act as he thought lol
Qiao Ci was raised to be the next Duke of Yanzhou so he learnt a lot from his grandfather. His uncle is useless…
Nope when the Wei tragedy happened the Qiao grandfather was still the head of the family and the lord of the clan, so it was his decision (and yes his coward, dumb sons did urge him to do so as well). I am honestly glad that Manman and Ci took after their grandpa and he taught them well, though compared to how his children turned out...
Currently on ep19 and FL's younger bro is truly the only uptight and bright-minded man left in that Qiao family...Her uncle and that rotten aide are setting Qiao clan up for destruction! Imagine how shameless one has to be to wish the family had more daughters so that they could marry them off in alliances to carry favor...Relying on women to advance and yet her uncle still dared to say to his wife to not get involved cause she is "only" a woman lmao Also, it was hilarious to say the least when he said "Since Manman's marriage with the Wei lord, our relationship has improved. Clearly, marriage alliances work. Right now, other states are expanding their armies. We won't from connecting with more lords ." Like the reason things with Wei improved it's because IT WAS Manman! She literally went through so much to make this work and now these foolish men think all women can be like Manman and that all other lords will be like Wei?? Plus how would Wei view this if they were to start marrying Qiao girls in marriage alliances to other lords..It would sound like a backup plan or even a declaration...That would also put more pressure on FL. I swear these men have their heads just as decoration.
Finally reached ep18 and our ML is truly such a military guy with not a spec of gentlemanly romanticism in him haha His wife asks him for a gift and he grants her 500 horses to send back home LMAO I couldn't stop laughing ππ He really needs some extra lessons about love and marriage from that advisor of his! His 4 generals are also so fun to watch I love this squad ><
I haven't seen it yet, but an actor can be a good kisser thanks to real life experience lol So there is no need for him to have had many kissing scenes to serve ><
I've been seeing quite a lot of videos saying how netizens in China bully him about his looks whenever he has…
Oh my I didn't know that! Actually, I came to know him first cause of his beautiful OSTs for multiple other cdramas I liked and then "meeting" him as an actor! Honestly, his"rags to riches" story makes him even more admirable to me!
Rather than acting I think some have an issue with his visuals not being the usual flower boy handsome ML type…
Personally, this is my 2nd or 3rd drama with him I think? Since I usually search and mark based on the plot of a cdrama it's not rare for me to see new or old faces and most of the time it takes time to even recognize some of the actors if the styling is too diferent haha But I think LYN is quite memorable thanks to his not so common sharp masculine features and I would consider that a plus! And like u said, I think his acting is quite decent and here it stands out even more thanks to how much he fits the role!
there are suggestions throughout, but it all blows up in episode 26 and 27. so some time to wait yet
I guess I will just have to tough it out then haha thanks! Maybe he will become more likable/understandable at some point sigh...OR on the very least, act as a catalyst for our couple to progress their married life! Jealousy is sometimes not bad ><
Mr Wei has 2 controversies so far. After the grandmother's birthday he kind of makes his peace with the cousin…
I see, thanks...That means it will take a while and hearing the spoilers I can sort of feel the headache coming already, sigh...But I understand it I guess, with all other males of his family gone and his grandmother adoring both of them so much, I can see why the ML would act like this and "love" him to goodness...Plus, from the looks of it, the Wei cousin seems to have been selling a totally different image all these years in front of them, which had them drop their guards and adore/spoil him. Still, it will be annoying to watch it, I think haha...Cause I don't find him likable AT ALL as of rn!
I keep seeing people say they didn't want to watch tpob because of liu yunings acting but his acting is great…
Rather than acting I think some have an issue with his visuals not being the usual flower boy handsome ML type and try to find other excuses to justify it...Personally, I find him handsome in his own way, he just has more sharp masculine features and honestly, here it suits his role and enhances it even more if you ask me! Since he is supposed to play a brute general who is soft on the inside and hard on the outside ><
I understand he's being possessive but if I were him, I'll do the mediation in the background and Man Man will…
"Source: Shared gratefully by a green flag on a certain Korean dating show. π" Now I am curious...May I know which dating show and participant you're talking about?
Currently trying to catch up after letting this marinate and I need a spoiler about something for my peace of mind...I am on ep 12 and I am curious how many eps it will take for the Mr.Wei cousin to be exposed? My patience is running out with his antics!
I came here after S2 and now that I've reached the finale of this Season as well, I have to say I LOVED the final match and winner way more in this one! It just felt more thrilling and Seok-Jin truly deserved it by all means! Also, I loved Dongjae and was so disappointed to see him get shot down by the others so early in the game...I am sure he had many more to offer as a player compared to others aka the "mooch off" gang, like how Seokjin called them spot on lol Orbit was a strong player too, but his whole mantra like logic of protecting/helping the weak, was so pretentious and irritating to watch...Because this is a survival show and when the time comes, they would all have to turn on each other eventually! Plus, I wouldn't be surprised if this was a strategy of his own by eliminating strong contestants like Dongjae early and keeping the majority of the weak players around, since it would make his journey to the finals as easy as a walk in the park, just like how Siwon noticed and said. And another annoying thing was how Orbit and Dong joo were trying from as early as first eps to make the Seokjin-Siwon(Dongjae) duo/trio look like topdogs and the privileged when the gap between them was literally just 1-2 pieces and after some eps the Orbit gang even overtook them by way more pieces but then there was no talk about who is privileged and who are the underdogs anymore ofc cause it wasn't adventurous anymore...It was really interesting to see this side of human nature...Trying to act like a victim while isolating the toughest players and branding them as the privileged...So watching Seokjin overcome all that, go to prison, bet everything and come out victorious in the end felt exhilarating to say the least! >< Oh, and my most unlikable pair because of their dirty play style are definitely Joon bin and Yu Min. I know that in this game manipulation, lying etc. are all part of the game, but I still can't help but view their playing tactics as ugly. And as a final observation, as someone who has watched both Seasons, see the difference between Seokjin/Siwon and Hyung gyu/Sohee duos? They both had a special connection from ep1 as patterns and grew close, but Siwon never gave up on the game and just knew how much she wanted to win but also how to be "faithful" to her game partner by sharing info and helping one another. Meanwhile, Sohee just gave up and honestly, she didn't seem to have the will from the start. Both she and Kihyun seemed as if they came for the games and the whole journey rather than the prize money. Btw I really hope there will be a Season 3! I am curious to see where the production will take us and what new games and drama will unfold!
