It just pass the review. Airing with a total of 31 episodes.
Oh...So they cut scenes?? Well as long as the storyline and editing is smooth without plotholes I am fine! Really have high expectations after the trailer!
Exactly! I genuinely believe it's intentional they want to heighten the suspense and create a mysterious vibe. This can be a bit frustrating even for me haha But it's also exciting in a way! As long as they tie up all the loose ends nicely in the finale I don't mind. I think this type of storytelling benefits binge watchers the most though or those with patience lol
I get your point but I believe it's intentional to an extent... We have been receiving bits and pieces of information slowly so far which can be frustrating but it also creates a sense of mysterious suspense about what happened in the past. So, until the entire drama airs, we should wait and see how they will handle the storytelling overall. ^^
Honestly, this is the first Bailu drama I've enjoyed since SoKP! So it's been a while and I’m so happy and excited to see how it unfolds! So far, the first 2 episodes have completely captivated me! The plot feels unique compared to the usual storylines, the cinematography and costumes are beautiful and the performances are nice. I really hope it continues to get better and better from here!
Honestly, the drama was good overall and I would recommend it! I loved the storyline, the chemistry between our leads and the cinematography. However, that ending is a completely different story lol
This has to be one of the most bizarre, abrupt and unsatisfying endings for a c-drama to date. It honestly felt like they had to cut and tried to fit two episodes into one!
The highlight of the 40th episode for me was definitely Ye Xian and his letters. Cause we barely got to see any moments of our leads.
Another disappointment for me was some of the OST choices, they really didn't seem to fit the vibe.
I just finished this drama, and I cried so hard in 38-39! The ending was definitely rushed... I expected Ye Xian…
Can you add spoiler as not to ruin it for the others, as you did for me...? Cause some of us are still midway and I did not wish to know that pookie Ye Xian will die...
Honestly, I wasn't really feeling it much in the first 3-4 episodes but now that I've reached episode 12, I’m sold! I mean, the ML is already acting like a protective husband, trying to get justice for his wife and handling her household matters. It's so hilarious to look at! Even his servant has noticed, but he still seems oblivious haha I can't wait for their romance to start! Btw the FL and ML have great chemistry but I can't deny that her chemi with Ye Xian is also quite lovely. >< However, instead of being romantic with sparks flying, it feels a bit the mischievous type lol
Looking at the comments...The novel seems to be quite tragic with a SE?? 😭 And the scriptwriter is the same from The Double...So my guess is even if they change the ending it would become an open one at best...That aside they have been praising the crew and novel so if the quality is good I guess I would still watch even with a less than happy ending! Thrilled for it's arrival!! Hopefully it turns out to be good!! The posters that got released looked absolutely stunning!!
Even IU couldn't save this one... The idea was fresh but the way the script was ultimately handled felt messy and disjointed. Most of the actors performed their roles well and the cinematography was beautiful but the story was a chaotic mix of soap opera-worthy clichéd plotlines on the most part. As for the chemistry between the leads, it also felt kinda lacking. Their moments had warmth but lacked sparks imo. Like I could not feel it as much as I had expected. And I have seen both of them with other leads. Also, I could predict the ending and how things would unfold in the last few episodes because of the writing, so I ended up fast-forwarding through some parts. That said, I still liked it overall because of its unique theme, even though the script failed to fully realize its potential. So it's kind of in the middle...There were things I liked but also many I didn't!
I don't think I've ever seen a messier episode 1 in my whole experience with Korean dating shows! Usually in the first few episodes, the participants are more reserved and just trying to get to know each other respectfully but in this one? ?🤣
That kitchen scene after the introductions was everything! Pffft Cause why are suddenly all 3 guys so actively pinning for this 1 girl?? Seriously, I did feel bad for the other two girls a bit. I don't think I've ever seen all the guys focus on one woman and hover around her in the kitchen like that while she has to cook with just ONE guy. Like one of the guys who wasn't even on cooking duty got the aporn for himself...🤣
Meanwhile, the other two girls were awkwardly standing on the side... I guess the guys this season are not here to play they know what they want and aim for it fast lol
The way I didn't have high expectations for this one but ended up being my fave ongoing cdrama rn... Everyone involved in this project really gave it their all!! Cannot wait for the express package to drop!! My only wish is that both couples make it out alive...Especially Ji Ling x Wu Yi pls no tragic ending TT
