I just finished episode 16 and although I tried, I think I'm in a drama slump. I enjoyed Blossom, tried Guardians…
Kinda same i guess haha.... For me so far I tried all of the above plus Floorished Peony by watching the first few eps and I am leaning more toward Moonlight Mystique and Floorished Peony I think...For this one I want to give it a try as well ...what's your impression of it? Since you reached ep16 and all.
I too loved Blossom. I’ve checked out Dafeng, Moonlight, life is a choice, and this one. I’d say I’ve found…
Actually, peony was my most anticipated but until like yesterday it had MTL so I could barely understand...Now that Viki has picked it up I will definitely tune into it after I let it marinate some more! Based on 1 ep I watched it was right up my alley! Now for the rest...I have checked first few eps of Dafeng, Moonlight, and this but none of them was gripping enough for me...Maybe Moonlight...For this drama, I think my biggest issue as of the first 2 eps is the CGI...But if the overall plot and acting are good I don't mind watching past it...That's why I asked.
I was so sad when I saw the MTL eps so for Viki to pick this up is truly a blessing!! Ep1 was interesting and based on the summary this could become my new fave but there are far too few eps available rn so I will let it marinate some more >< Btw for anyone who has read the novel, is it HE?? Tho based on the last 2 lines of the drama summary it already sounds like happy ending! "After a near-death experience, the two worked together to put down a rebellion, and both retreated into the world of heaven and earth."
After the Blossom I am once again in a cdrama drought...None of the ongoing dramas rn seems to have grasped my attention fully...Maybe Moonlight Mystique but even that is not as engaging... So, umm, is this drama worth watching and does it get better after the first 2-3 episodes?? I knew the FL from past support roles I have seen in other dramas I enjoyed and added this to my list, but the 1-2 episodes did not impress me that much, and the CGI looked kind of bad. I have a certain amount of time I can dedicate to series daily so it would be helpful to know how it gets later on and if it's worth it.
They have already recorded eps on Hello Saturday and Keep Running tho? Will they appear again?
Omg that's quite unexpected... Isn't it usually only for 1 ep while promoting for their cdrama? Now I am excited! I hope they do appear again cause I loved their ep!
Okay so long time ago I started Princess Agents ( the drama had just fully aired at the time) and I had to stop watching mid-way cause of people saying that the couple wasn't together at the finale and that the ending indicated for a S2? Which led to me shelving it away until news of S2 comes up... So is this Rebirth supposed to be the continuation but with new cast or will it just share the same universe but different timeline?? I am asking so I know if I should re- watch and continue Princess Agents...( tho I can tell that with the filming happening now this cdrama will air at least 1-2 years later at best lol) Personally I have come to know of this cdrama cause of Li Yunrui from Blossom I kinda became a fan of his but I don't think I can see him and the rest as the "new" cast of Princess Agents characters the vibes are too different if they pick up from where it left...So I really hope it's a new plot setting!
Soooo goodddd!!!! I haven watched such a good non-messy historical drama in a while!! Highly recommended to watch…
I first saw Ji Yong actor in the Spirealm (truly recommend this if you like bromance/mystery/multi-cases solved plot) and ever since he keeps surprising me pleasantly with his range!!
It was bit long and could have easily cut 4 episodes. First half was great but MLs brother and the couple had…
It was just 3 eps from 27-30 and I think they couldn't spread it out because of Song Han's hidden identity that could only come out after his parents were gone...I was also annoyed by their arc I won't deny it but with how the storyline was woven that part was needed...It's just that Song Han's traits and love story make for a very ugly sight that makes it hard for viewers to stomach...But considering the whole of Blossom its one of the few cdrama that have given so much screen time to the main couple overall!! Up to around 27 eps it was all about them when usually fans are unsatisfied cause of supportive characters taking too much screen time through the whole thing in most cdrama.... So toughening it out with it for 3-4 eps wasn't that hard for me!
What a wonderful text! Deep, sensitive, fair, lyrical analysis, delicate as the magnolia flower. Your words, so…
Thank you so much for your wonderful message! I'm genuinely surprised and deeply touched that you've been following my texts and previous analyses. I usually stick to the comment section, avoiding the MDL Discussions and review sections. However, Blossom has finally inspired me to write my first official review, especially after months of drought in the Cdrama world. Your kind words about the quality and flow of my writing have truly made my day! It's incredibly rewarding to know that my thoughts resonate with you like the gentle flow of a river and the clear reflection of a lake. I will definitely take your advice to heart. It's heartwarming to think that my work has found a place in your reading. Thank you once again!
Went downhill from ep29 onwards. So UNsatisfying. To think this could be THE show of 2024! To think it could be…
Personally, the only disappointing part for me was episode 29 itself, mainly because it focused too much on villain Song Han, making it a rather frustrating watch. However, the last 5 episodes were absolutely perfect! We got a wonderful happy ending for our lead couple, all the villains faced karma and their due retribution, and all our questions were nicely answered and wrapped up. So, I don't quite understand what left you so unsatisfied.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I am deeply touched by your appreciation and the beautiful words you used to describe my review. Blossom has indeed been a blessing, a serene presence that instills peace and hope as we close the year. Let us carry this tranquility and inspiration of the Blossom into the new year, with the hope that it continues to uplift us in the days to come. 🌸
Blossom is a rare gem in the world of historical cdramas, blending heartfelt emotion with intricate storytelling. From the first episode to the last, the series captivated us with its powerful portrayal of resilience, love, and the triumph of the human spirit against adversity.
For me, what sets Blossom apart from other recent historical cdrama I've watched is its meticulous attention to detail. The period-appropriate costumes and breathtaking cinematography transport viewers to a bygone era, while the carefully crafted plot keeps you on the edge of your seat. The subplots, from Dou Zhao’s struggles with her stepmother and the Dou family to Song Mo’s quest for justice, are interwoven seamlessly, creating a rich tapestry of interconnected stories.
Our main leads, Dou Zhao and Song Mo, are portrayed with depth and authenticity, their relationship evolving from mutual suspicion to a profound partnership. The writers have managed to skillfully develop their backstories and motivations, making their journey compelling and relatable. The supporting characters were equally well-developed, each contributing significantly to the narrative's overall richness. Even tho some characters' arcs like Song Han's were hard to digest I could see why they were deemed necessary!
Honestly, Blossom is not just a drama, it’s an emotional experience! It’s a story of finding hope in despair, strength in vulnerability, and love in the most unexpected places. Whether you're a fan of historical dramas or just looking for a story that will stay with you long after the credits roll, Blossom is an absolute must-watch!
I finally completed the series!! As expected, the last five episodes did not disappoint one bit, and the ending is the most satisfying one I have seen in a while!! This show deserves all praise and more!! I would recommend it to every Historical cdrama lover especially those who like reincarnation/re-writting one's fate trope!!
The way I have to wait until night to get to them...I hate daily obligations!! I need to watch eps 30-34 as soon as possible TT But I am glad that we already know it's a happy ending with satisfying outcomes I knew I was right for trusting the director and scriptwriter ><
