The 2013 one wasn't all too bad, but the cinematography was god awful. 2003 one is still my go to, haven't seen the 1980s one, and only briefly seen the 1990s one.

Somewhat, the male and female lead survive. 2 of the original 4 brothers end up dying though.
None of the "wives" are official wedded. Of the three, one ended up dead, the other fell in love with one of the brothers who ended up dead, and the last one he truly loved may have ended up with him, ended in sort of a cliff hanger that implies they got together.
