Title The Red Sleeve Spoiler
Hmm, this was a good one, hooked me from the start. I don't know how to word my feelings, lol, it's mixed. First thing to note is that this drama is not black and white, especially the characters and their choices, they're quite humane and complicated. The FL saved the king so many times, she obviously loved him but held back alot, I understood her. The king also loved her, he made so many exceptions for her and treated her well.

Concerning their decisions, before watching this drama and seeing opinions online, I thought the king forced the FL, treated her badly and so on and I was confused because was it the same thing we watched? She was an exception from the beginning where she could talk to him as she liked without repercussions.

The king owns all court maids, he could have had her if he wanted as we're all aware of the imbalance hierarchy but he asked for permissions, and stepped back anytime she rejected. Except for that time he kissed her in library without her consent, he never went out of line. The final one where he had to to protect her from the palace evil by making her a concubine, he still asked, he'd even given up, yet, she accepted him and they went further. Sincerely, how many kings could show that bare minimum of loving and consideration to someone they claim to love?

Some people said oh, he never gave her much choice, the palace was her abode and without it, she's nothing blabla. The year where she lived outside the palace, didn't she live without her friends? Wasn't she doing well outside? She even hinted she didn't want to go back. Therefore, the excuse of she not being able to refuse the king because she built her life in the palace was so weak, she could have lived well outside and she had all the choices! He never forced her! It was good that he even kept bringing it up because she was continuously giving him mixed signals, till when were they supposed to be dancing around their feelings until she made her decision? It'd have been better to leave the crown prince side and go serve the Queen or others.

The FL was the one who made so many selfish decisions, the king made only ONE and with PERMISSION and they never allowed him rest from that. I understood her not wanting to share or get involved in palace drama but the king tried so much to protect her, he choose her all the time, she still had the freedom of meeting her friends as she liked even after becoming a concubine, she could still transcribe, the only price to pay was not being able to leave the palace which wasn't even a big deal for her in the start. She made very few sacrifice while the king made so many.

So, I hate that they made their whole union something miserable that she never wanted. I understood the FL cautiousness but I also didn't agree with some of her decisions. She remained heartless even till the end, not even wanting to see the king in her last or giving him reassurance.

The king was the one I pitied most here. He never received clear love from his family, the form of love he got from FL was also very similar to loyalty, not what he needed, he lost the one he loved and their children, lost his friend and still had to pick up like nothing went wrong. FL had her friends, he had no one. He still had to live with that blame of wanting her which isn't necessary imo. What happened to her could have happened with her andsomeone else.
It was looking as if the writer just wanted to antagonise him at all cost in the end.
There's alot to say about the drama, the plot holes and such but their relationship is the main one I decide to address.

The ending was okay, I only wished they were more sweeter moments show rather than from few mins sweetness to tragedy, their happiness shown was too short. Excellent acting though, from the former king to the FL and ML and everyone else, they did so well.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I checked into this because of Ji Ju-hoon (someone I know nothing about except…
Lol, you can still give it a try. It was actually interesting but that last episode ruined it all. You're right about the plot part too.

I tried but I couldn't enjoy this. I loved S1 but S2 comes across as S1 wannabe. Everything seems forced; the empathy, the mission, the comedy and all. It seems too generic to me. I couldn't empathise with any characters here nor their sob stories. It didn't evoke emotions like its previous season. Will be dropping it.

No offence. I'm curious about something tho, how come these people manage to be unemployed but still live regularly and even give out? Cause these peeps are not working but manage to move around, affording gas fees and all. I see this alot in K-drama and I don't understand if there's a government support for unemployed people or sum. It never made sense to me who's from a country you can't afford not to work, lol.

Title Gangnam B-Side Spoiler
This all for that hype, uh?😂
THIS DRAMA IS A MESS. The story is a mess, the characters are all a mess. Everything and everyone is stupid. Bro, I'm so angry rn, I had to force myself to watch at 3x to be able to finish this.
This drama had no direction. The writer had a good plot but wrote it terribly. It's like a patch patch story, it seems as though you miss a significant part in the story. Dialogues are so cliche and lacks depth. Characters are so one dimensional, rash and they weren't making logical decisions at all. No characters were relatable because tf, EVERYBODY WAS STUPID AND ANNOYING. So many things weren't making sense.

Not enough background on the relationship between Gilho and the girls, what really was his mission cause how could he be pimping girls he cared deeply about? Why did he hate drugs so deeply, yet, still in that environ? I even thought he was a undercover or whatever.
Not enough reason as to why the detective suddenly trusted and made Gilho his buddy like bro, everyone acted like they were on crack!

I wasn't even caring for the show but they had to turn it to a saviour whatever, for a stupid child that didn't want to be saved?? What the actual heck did I even just watched?

Just like the first review said, both Gilho and the detective are both immortal because atp, they could be gutted and they would still survive, like bro 😂😂
All characters were stupid but the prosecutor character especially was too stupid and naive for such profession. And tbh, the actresses didn't embody her role well.

I can't even rant enough.
The first JCW drama I'll be disappointed in.
The drama was a case of what I ordered versus what I got, this wasn't what was advertised to me, it's trashy 🗑️
So badly written for a sensitive issue it was based on. Smh.

Title Dali & Cocky Prince Spoiler
Muhak saved the show for me. He wasn't the most book smart person but he was peak street wise, confident, a realist, an empath, a romantic. Dali could be so oblivious and too naive most times. This drama is more like a distressed princess in need of saving all the time.

Let's start from the beginning. I couldn't fathom why her dad could risk the museum being in so much debt with his poor health, knowing if anything could happen, it'd all fall on his daughter. It was such an unfair situation.

I didn't understand the ending. Why was the reaction to the dad video so...anti climatic??
What about the punishment given to the nephew, and Taejin? The former wasn't mentioned anymore and the latter just resigned after a year??
How did Dali and that staff became friends enough to even start living together?
Why did Muhak suddenly started calling his Stepmom mom when he wasn't before after all these years?
The ending was basically all of them just doing love and light.
I also think it took too long for the climax to take place when they could have focused on the romance in the lastfew episodes because tbh, their romance didn't have a solid foundation.

It's okay, good acting too.

Kinda stupid. Was I supposed to be rooting for the scammers who'd con so many people for years? They were portrayed to be successful, righteous and have a happy ending at the end, while the other thieves were painted in a bad light. BS. Also, how stupid could a detective be? Smh.

Title My Name Spoiler
A good ride. It started very well but got underwhelming later on. I feel sorry for the main leads, it's the one where the right and wrong aren't so black and white. Mujin is a complicated character, I disliked him for deceiving jiwoo but also felt bad for him for always being left aside. Jiwoo was a strong character, I rooted for her too. I wished jiwoo's dad at least hinted on his real identity to her, it could have prevented alot, but I guess we wouldn't have had this uh? Lol.

I also wished there were more emotional depth to the characters because the lack of it makes somehow to empathize with them. They just act in fights, daz all.

However, what was that last episode so-called romance? So funny, cause these people weren't even that close, a lil trauma bonding and they were removing clothes and she was lamenting over their supposed bond, lol😂
Tbh, I didn't feel bad for Pildo's death, he was a hindrance to the befitting ending. But Mujin crazy though.

Anyways, excellent acting, good plot but not too crazy execution, as opposed to how it's supposed to.

I don't even know what to say, that was twisted.

At a point, I was thinking if Kimjihoon was the same as the husband cause they seem to have similar background. I also thought there's a probability he's the first Kimjihoon that was arrested too cause the three men had something in common. So, my imagination had gone to something like split personality or so, although I know it didn't make sense😂
Still, I was still expecting a twist at the end, so it feels like something was lacking at the end, maybe I'll have to look up theories to understand, lol. The sudden arrest was weird too.

Disappointed the husband wasn't successfully killed off. Such a pathetic cowardly bastard.

Take note: EVERYONE IS MENTALLY SICK IN THIS MOVIE AND CONTENTS ARE VERY DISTURBING. Proceed with caution.
Excellent acting too 👍

It is good. I almost dropped it because I found the comedy at the beginning over the top and not befitting of police officers. However, it all got infused smoothly with the plot later on.
The drama is nothing serious, they tried not to make it emotional or intense like most crime theme. Even the deep/traumatic situations were not brooded on. It's a light-hearted one. On the surface, they seem so incompetent but improved later on. Courtesy of Dongbang, I guess, lol.
I didn't see the criminal reveal coming. That identity is not too out of the box, yet, still feels out of place somehow.
Anyways, it was okay and good acting too 👍

I loved this. The writer's imagination blew my mind cause wot 😂
The story is interesting and intriguing. 95% of it understood, others loose ends that doesn't really make sense but issokay. I also don't understand most people's confusion about her identity at the end, anyone who watched wouldn't find that difficult at all. And yeah, Kim Min Jeong is the villain😭 Sarah Kim the winner. I only wished we had more glimpse into her actual personal life/thoughts (but I guess they have no business in the drama genre, lol) and more of her and her husband's moment.
Great acting! Impressive writing and directing too👏

Btw, she and her DNA not being registered in database means she wasn't registered at birth or what? 🤔

I'm angry and irritated because the writers didn't rate we the viewers at all. What was that disaster in the name of last episode?? Why did everything crumble? Even their most powerful weapon; the AI and the lab. Their carelessness and overconfidence that caused that downfall was just infuriating because it could have been prevented.

Nothing and when I say, NOTHING was explained. The writing wasn't even enough to show characters and their intentions well. We got the prime minister insinuating he lost someone he loved in the terrorist attack and WHO?? Even BF intention wasn't laid clearly, or maybe I'm not smart enough to dig. Is that supposed to be a righteous company?? Even main characters depth weren't explored well.

All the good impression from the other episodes just went to the bin with that sh*tty ending. The ending trying to make us believe they were alive, which is very much unbelievable, how can you survive that?? I know it's a fiction but plss 🙂
Imay have made typos and written nonsense. Maybe I should have written this review when less angry but damn, I'm so offended rn😂

Great acting and directing though👍

It's a unique plot that's actually well detailed. Good acting, very interesting and not boring. It's also sad to see victims suffer grief because of sick people. Really sad. I also liked how the detectives here were ACTUALLY working, and using their brains, without being dependents on only one ace or helper.
However, I didn't like how the last episode was rushed though; the anti-climax was dissolved somehow disappointingly. Also, some plots such as the detective mom situation was lacking.

Thomas grew on me, gonna miss watching him🥺

Unto season 2 anyways.

It's okay. Very interesting to me at first, but that interest watered down later on. They really took time with the plot building, lol.
That evil ghost is so illogical and evil, had no valid justification for what she'd been doing tbh. I think the grandmother is the main villain here, alongside the ghost.

I also question many characters decisions.
One annoying thing is how characters don't talk, they just don't open their mouth to disclose information or even make casual convo, they just stare at each other😂 If only they talked, some things could have been avoided.

Another thing is the the FL Mom, she was kinda annoying and like a liability. And I don't think anything can justify she telling her child nothing about her father. Being irrational and not hearing her husband out about his strange actions because how could he kill her child from inside her womb?? So many irrational actions.

I know it's common to see but characters don't get old too. They all look the same after multiple decades. There's one where the grandma was young in the sacrificial scenes, and then a year or few years later, while her husband is still young, she'd been transformed to the old actress😂

There are some questionable aspect but it was a good watch. Excellent acting too👍

I liked this one. Like a review said, it's not a fast paced investigation drama. It comes layer by layer and can be complicated with human feelings involved. Moreover, I liked how they didn't bring in unnecessary suspense, the plot development was quite straightforward. The team also worked hard alongside the FL, not that she was the only one carrying along everything which is seem typically in most crime drama.

I also liked how emotions were shown, not just walking human robots, it's quite refreshing to see. The FL appeared humane, not like a machine emotionally, lol.

As for the villains... I'd have preferred more backstory as to how they turned like that. Dunno, it seems quite lacking.
Also, the villain's rage towards the evidence came across to me as a a bit of of character because he doesn't seem like one to be scared of his action consequences. But I think I understand some of his fear.

Contrary to some, I don't think the storyline is predictable. The villain, yes, but not the plot because you don't know what's going to happen next.

The last few episodes may appear a bit boring or lackluster but I think that's because it was settling on the anti-climax after, contrary to the building climax in the first half.

Characters were interesting. Cha Young learned to unlearn and is not annoying. The teacher was quite brave. Eun Ho is smart and compassionate. The high school friends grew well too. Amongst others. The character development was well written 👍

It was a good watch though. It's a refreshing thriller compared to what's being produced now in the genre, I like it. At the end of the day, it's all the adults fault. It shows how much upbringing matters. Good acting too.

Don’t know about legacy, but it wouldn’t be good pitch for investors found out he didn’t pay the winner.…
I get your point!
Ah. By legacy, I meant him going all out of his way to make sure the money he won reached his daughter, lol.
Exactly, it was a perfect ending 😊

Well, from the exaggerated synopsis, I was expecting a thriller with unexpected turns cause what do they mean by "a monster," or did I miss something? 😭
However, the title could have been "everyone is acting strange," because they all were😂 Characters with their actions were odd. FL really took a risk and can be dull somehow. I don't think her relationship is worth keeping though, cause he seems careless.
Anyways, it was okay.
