I've watched episodes 1 to 8, and I think you're right, and I agree. The plot is mostly focused on "finding the killer named Ye Sha" and less romantic scenes. If that's what it was meant to be, this kind of plot fits the genre description perfectly, there's no romance. Overall, I really liked the script.

😭😭 Tbh It's only been a month of filming. Even Kiku's costume in veil of shadows I counted only 35 sets, accumulated over approximately 4 months of filming. Wang Yixu really spent a lot of money just for Kiku's costume.
