I've watched episodes 1 to 8, and I think you're right, and I agree. The plot is mostly focused on "finding the killer named Ye Sha" and less romantic scenes. If that's what it was meant to be, this kind of plot fits the genre description perfectly, there's no romance. Overall, I really liked the script.
