the couple in the upcoming ep (#23) is the couple from Huiyang town. They are the people who harmed HRZ. Definitely not Miss Meng's uncle as the Mengs are as the power people in the south.

If you're referring to 23 preview clocked @ 00:50, that's not Meng. They are the couple in Huiyang town, the place where HRZ came from (see Ep. 16, timestamped from 39:55).

i was hoping and routing for BDM to be still alive and coming back for revenge. But after seeing #9, how could she have survived after having gone through so many pairs of killing hands, one after another, and ending with the psycho K!!!

i can't understand how it's still possible to get DNA sample after such an explosion. Any expertise here?

#2 the murderer came to know about the fire plot and all the past events (prior to the fire) through the journal kept by Lu Zhong. So that will exclude Captain Leng's killing the night watcher (QSG's dad) since Lu Zhong was killed during the fire.

#3 all the present day killings (except Lin Siniang) were carried out by Magistrate Wei's servant/aide. In Ep.11 @4:18, the dialogue between fortuneteller and the bearded man in disguise, fortune teller is certain the bearded man isn't the murderer. (Fortune teller is very confident of his face reading skills).

#4 All the murders of the bad corrupted people were done by the servant of Magistrate Wei. Yamen doesn't know that, that's why he was still able to kill the chef and he's leaving town (man on horse before the bridge in Ep.12 @ 1:34:46).

according to the fortune teller (when he met up with Xiao Bao), he's certain XB is not the murderer. So, all the killing were done by the man Xie who's indebted to Magistrate Wei for saving him.

QSG would be devastated if he were to find out Captain Leng was the one who killed his own dad. He admired CL to the extent that he's still in denial of CL ever being a bad and corrupted constable.

i guess the author/scriptwriter took pity on QSG

yup, me neither. Didn't she say HRZ wasn't there before her 'rebirth'. If she were to really end up with him, i think that won't be on a happy note.
