oh, why do you not like them?! Alen Fang's acting is so much better than the ML in General Lady. And Alen looks good in period drama... Initially, though i didn't dislike Ling MeiSi, i wasn't attracted to her. But after a few epis, i kinda like her and more. She's good acting out her role. Can't wait to get onto 18!

i doubt there'll be a S2 since the finale had everything in order and in its rightful place, and they even finished it off with the General and Lady giving military training to their son... !!!

think the present ML was sent to chase FL for her script. She asked him for the exact message he was tasked to tell her. She told him she's finishing and asked him to wait, be seated... She asked him for his name and the usual polite questions - drink? eaten? She laughed when he told her his name -- Chu Xiu Ming...

Yes, agree with you on the pt that ML needs to better his acting skills, especially his facial expressions. Sorry to CW fans but i felt he didn't do a good job in portraying his role as a cold stern general. His facial front is outright stiff and awkward. If not for the FL's lively, chatty scenes and both FL/ML good visuals, i would have dropped this after two epis...

So far, most period Cdramas i've watched so far started off very well like The Heiress, Sleepless Princess) but ended with sad/clueless cliffhangers... that i felt so cheated of my time and emotions!!! Thank you Mr Qiang Wu for giving us a complete blissful finale!

Seems like it's a norm for Chinese directors &/or scriptwriters to leave viewers to their own imaginery perception on how ML/FLs get out of tricky and/or life&death situations!!!

In this drama, there are at least two such tranitional scenes. Thank goodness, the end result in finale was acceptable!

Don't think it's disrespectful to the person involved. Correct me if im wrong, but i think one reason is that he's registered as the son of his mother's brother and not her son... Another reason is some kind of endearment nickname that you see in some Kdramas that the ML or FL uses to address their mom...

Can't believe it's going to end this weekend - it was like just the other day i had to deal with Missing:The Other Side finale... and now Search... Hope the new drama The Uncanny Counter for Sat/Sun slot will be just as good ;)

Thanks Enzek for the links. I'm done with T&RR. Will drop The Eternal Love S1/2/3 as i can't get pass the look of ZLXing - his facial feature doesn't suit period drama - more suitable with modern look as in his profile photo XD

Thanks Enzek for the recommendations. This Cdrama would have been a total disappointment if it really ended at 35. Was utterly disappointed by 35, just like The Heiress' finale.... Thankfully someone gave the link to the Special episode.

So, i'd like to find out from you which of your recommendations (besides #5) has the slightest hint of sad/unacceptable or open ended ending?!
