Being a lover of kdrama, noir, crime and bromance themes, Cruel city is one of my top tv series, regardless of genre. I am not as eloquent as other reviewers. Suffice to say, I didn’t want to leave the world of Cruel City when the series concluded. I was completely immersed in this dark, violent and beautiful world. I would have given this 10/10 all the way except for one female character, whose scenes I skipped on rewatching ( which I did multiple times). The relationship between doctor's son and Soo was utterly compelling and beautiful, hence the bromance tag. The overall tone was wonderfully dark and rich, no humour whatsoever. Please dont misunderstand.. I love comedies too, but I prefer my noir unsweetened. It is beautiful, stylish, violent, sexy and heartwarming. Minimal romance thank goodness, but a very healthy dose of bromance 💙. One of the main reasons Im still thinking about Cruel City...
