Has some flaws, but totally worth the time spent!
I have watched almost all modern dramas with Miles Wei as the male lead, and I genuinely enjoyed every single one. This one is no different—it definitely had flaws and parts I had to fast-forward through, but I still really enjoyed it and will rewatch it.Even then, the parts I skipped were barely anything—maybe four to five percent of the entire show.
As for the acting, I liked everyone—every single cast member did a great job.
The romance was done right. Unlike many dramas that claim to be romances but forget the love story, this one kept its focus squarely on the romance while balancing the professional side well. The romance never felt overly cheesy or childish either, so it stayed enjoyable without getting annoying.
My final verdict: if you enjoy dramas with low-to-no villain angst, a grounded slice-of-life vibe, mature romance, and zero cringe 'overly cute' tropes, you will definitely love this one.
"Plus, I love Miles Wei because he always delivers, and even if his modern dramas follow a familiar formula, I actively look forward to that exact consistency every time."
"This is my first time reviewing a drama here, so take my thoughts with a grain of salt if yours differ!"
