In this case, though, if U Su were to fall for Eui Ju, it would be years later, when she is already an adult with her own career and life experience —not when she was his student.
That's why I personally don't see it as much of a problem, provided the story handles it carefully and makes it clear that his feelings are for the person she has become, not for the student she once was.
