Yes, the twins six eye butterfly demons entered into the former commander of shili double hunters who was old, sick and dying and metamorphosed through him (former commander) and still came out twins but one with the full power and full butterfly memory while the other twin (Li Jie) came out human, no memory but full strength of a commander and went back to shili dragon temple.
Oh, they didn't come out of the butterfly cocoon together they would have seen eachother at least.

Episode 30 was not the best truly, everything was so fast and not properly edited, some loopholes here and there, I think it has to do with fitting the whole plots into 40 episodes, my opinion though.
