I'd rather watch paint dry

I only rarely write reviews. I write reviews on two occasions, when I find a series so good that I want to reward it, or when I find a series very disappointing that I want to point it out. This review is the latter case.

I only watched this series because of Ha Ji Won. And continued to watch it because of Ha Ji Won. Put any other actress in that role and I'd never have watched this series, let alone completed it.
Ha Ji Won did portray a lovely woman and I really liked her in this series. She was the best thing this series has to offer, her acting.

The problem with this series is the story and all the other uninteresting characters. I did not like the other main lead.

It was almost unbearable to finish watching all the episodes. First 3-4 episodes were easy, but after about 5 it started to get really boring. Not much really happened during this series I felt like.
In fact I realized after watching it that I could have watched just the first and last episodes and I would have seen the whole story.

But out of about 80 k-drama series I've watched, this one is at the bottom of the list over series I find good. If I'd have to make a "skip these 5 series" list this series would be included.

Find a different series to watch, don't waste your time.

Funny, romantic, sweet, and with the right amount of action and danger

I think this series is one of my all time favorite K-Drama series, at least in top 3 or 5.
First time I watched it earlier in the year, and just recently re-watched it. It was fun to watch it again.

Park Bo Young's performance in this series is amazing, it is one of my favorite character in all the series I've watched, just about 80 series. It is also my favorite character from all the character that she performs. She's just so cute, sweet and funny, totally adorable. Yet when push comes to shove she can easily go into kick-ass mode.

The chemistry between her and Park Hyung Shik, the other main lead, is amazing. He acts the right character for this series, a guy that is just flabbergasted of her, just like anyone would be.

But I've rarely laughed so much and so deeply, the humor is over the top. The romance is strong and everything just seems to click perfectly together in this series.

Perfect series.

Worth noting, the soundtrack for this series is also my favorite soundtrack from all the series. There are many great tracks and I can easily listen to the whole album over and over.

Promising leads but disappointing results

I only rarely write reviews. I write reviews on two occasions, when I find a series so good that I want to reward it, or when I find a series very disappointing that I want to point it out. This review is the latter case.

First of all, the main problem with this series is the story. The main scene is a convenience store. How on earth is that an appealing environment for a love story? The story is as flat and dull as any convenience store.

Two things that disappoint me the most with this series.
1) It wasted the main actors time. Both of them are a favorite of mine, and I feel like this was a wasted effort. I would much rather see them take on different projects with better results.
2) Ji Chang Wook and Kim Yoo Jung are unlikely to pair up together again, because leads rarely do pair up again in another series. That's disappointing to me because I really like them. However in this series I didn't find any chemistry between them, but I don't know if it's the story or not, maybe it wasn't meant to be. Maybe they got unlucky. There's also a 12 years age difference between the leads that could have had an affect.

At some points in the series I thought this was like a R&R (Rest & Relaxation) project for Ji Chang Wook. Ez work. And thought Kim Yoo Jung drew the short stick when she decided to do this project. One thing I'll say about Kim Yoo Jung, she was lovely in this series, I liked her the most.... her character was most evolved, and her smile makes you forget about the bad script.

But it's sad to write this review because I really admire the main actors.
