Sadly this is a female centric drama so the plot revolves around her and his screentime is less than hers. He’s more of a support but still main ml and it was pushed to make him equal billings. But equal doesn’t mean same or more screen time especially when it’s a female centric drama and not male centric drama. Hopefully his next drama is a male centric one since he can act and looks hella fine in his outfits

In the novel only Xiao Xun dies and they are that young in the novel as important figures in court. Young men and women are that mature in historical dramas and back then (China, all other countries) they mature faster compared to brats these generations in real life

Those that watched when they started script reading and filming knew that happened but new viewers are clueless. Don’t hesitate to come and correct them each time you see a comment saying she’s weak, useless etc

She would’ve accomplished many things IF they followed the novel but no, they changed everything yet still claim it’s an adaption of the novel to get novel readers excited and watch the drama only to be disappointed with all the changes

Yep, they ruined the whole drama. It DOES NOT follow the novel at all. They changed it and made CZ look like crap. They made her dumb as fuk and now distrustful of YL. There’s no need to sugar coat anything. He waltzed in with a whole team and changed the script ☹️ Thank goodness for at least the chemistry

They ruined CZ character so badly in the drama, might as well make a whole different drama instead of saying they’re making a live action of the novel. lol next time other Bells protest, Imma join them

They changed the script so much from the novel and made her character pretty shitty 🙄 Directors and certain teams need to lay off female centric novels and dramas if they can’t follow it correctly and only wants to change it immensely in favor of other characters

They downplayed her a lot. I’ve seen complaints of how weak and annoyingly reckless she is, how she’s always beaten, how ml has to bail her out or get hurt cuz she failed etc from other social media sites. In the novel itself she wasn’t failing but in the drama—yeah 🙄Now I understand why many Bells were upset when they started filming the drama
