Doing a rewatch right now and I have to say that this is still one of my very best dramas from anywhere ever. It's so beautiful, well told and well done. I love love love Hong He, he is the friend we all need, flawed but so so loyal. His friendship with Shi guang and Shen Yi Lang is one of the very best things to me in this story. When he sat on those steps with Shen Yi Lang after the grading and shared in his pain, I felt that! 😔 Also the actor for Shi guang (HXX), I've said it before and I'll say it again. He is amazing!! I don't know many actors that can display this broad amount of emotions this naturally, sometimes during a small span of time, like his joy to anger to sadness in the hallway after the grading tournament and that moment when he was drunk and sad with Chu Ying in the hotel 🥺🥺. Or when Chu Ying disappeared. Or his expression when his mom came visiting after he moved out. Or really just anywhere! He is so endearing and fun and goofy without being cringy nor idiotic and He is just one the best actors I've seen from China for me! Why don't they make more stories like this?! 😫🙏😫
My first Thai movie and I truly enjoyed it. Please, can anyone give me some recommendations for movies or dramas like this, from Thailand or anywhere else 🙂
Thank you for this! I though l was alone and lm trying hard not to drop whole thing because of the way writer…
I can understand that. I'm so picky when it comes to watching dramas that its really frustrating when it fails me 😫. I hope you end up enjoying the rest of the show especially as you like Meguro. Umi was also a nice highlight for me, she's a lovely little actress.

Yeah, I ended up dropping it because I couldn't get over the logic of the show's entire premise plus the ML was quite tiring for me. I know people still loved it so I guess it lies on what you can stand. Let me know if you do drop or continue?
I watch on Viki and the amounts are given (sub-titles) in terms on "won" (as in Korea Won, KRW or ₩ ). Therefor,…
So it's completely a subtitle problem then. But $750b is a WHOLE lot more than $11b and not approximate at all so writing 11b won would just make better sense.
Its really throwing me off for amounts to keep changing and certain things become insensible like selling their company for 210 thousand over 10m. I need to learn Korean 😣.
I have a question please 🙏 The amount being quoted keeps changing for me. For instance in the game acquisition episode, first they were saying he's settling for 2.1million dollars but then it suddenly changed to 210 thousand dollars. And it's not the first time. I'd really like to know the correct amounts being quoted. In the first episode it was 7 billion dollars being quoted but apparently it might just have been 70million. But if that's so, then do they owe the bank 110 million or 11 billion dollars. I'm confused. Someone please help me 🙏
Please go to a tomato tree and hang yourself😏😏 We will find you there after the drama ends thats if we care.…
I actually agree that the op's criticism seemed unnecessarily mean. And I also think that actors are human and they also go online and probably see more than they should especially relating to themselves. It was the tomato tree bit that I had a problem with. You don't have to step into the dirt with the mud slingers and you never know someone's mindset especially online and how certain harsh words (even jokingly said) can affect them just like their criticism of the actor affected you into replying, so generally being thoughtful with words seems like a good idea.

There's never a reason to tell someone to kill themselves, even playfully and especially not over a drama or actor. Even if you think their criticism is wrong, wickedness is not the answer.
I knew a long time ago this drama is brilliant, however I forgot about it and only recently found it while scrolling…
I agree 💯 with you about the last episode. It threw me! Why would they end it that way?? It felt like the beginning of another saga or something. I would have been good with him gently traveling with his companions till he dies or even going to be with Nihuang for a bit. Dying off-screen after heavily giving advice 🤷 to aid the war was just not it to me.
Finally finished and it is genuinely an intelligently written story. I have to ask, why does China not make more of this types of stories? And where are the men that look like this anymore? No shade to the admittedly fine guys they have now but rarely do I see them look so manly anymore or even a bit rugged. I will probably write a review later because I have thoughts! But seriously, what was with that last episode??
Hoping it's done well🙏.
Happy watching to you!

I'll check out Viki's.
Thank you for replying.

Are you able to watch this anywhere?
