Title My Fiction Spoiler
Good story but by the end the inconsistencies and "reveals" got to be too much for me.

Seriously, what was that last episode. Everything was because of somebody else, they were all irritatingly interconnected.

I kept waiting for Tsumura to suddenly be like, actually, I’m the real Yusuke. I’m implanted your memories in me for whatever reason but you Yusuke are also the real Yusuke, my clone, because why not?!
Or that it was actually Yusuke or Muroya that set fire to the house that killed her mom...
That’s how over the top and nonsensical things got after the reveal at the end of episode 6 and by half of ep 8, nothing would have shocked me anymore.

Yusuke saw her break down for like 10secs and was like “Ferb, I know what we’re going to do today!” Let the woman cry, its not the end of the times.

Also, Why in the world did it seem like Tsumura didn't know his own girlfriend who he apparently still had FEELINGS for? And why was he cool with her talking to him like she didn't know him either? He just let it slide and this was before he knew about the memory wipe thing? He literally introduced himself like a stranger that just moved into the neighborhood and never looked askance at her ignorance of him so why would we? Why did they bother with adding that dynamic??????

Also what in the world was Tsumura arrested for? Would they really have arrested his girlfriend? What would she have been charged for anyway, dragging a strange man into her home and hitting him on the head?

I'm tired. It really was a very interesting show and I liked the suspense and plot but that last episode got to be too much and just came across as ridiculous.
Poor Yuri.

Now I need to go back to the episode where Daisuke was in jail talking to other lady and she showed him the picture…
Everything you said is true but when would his memory have been swiped. Seems like he was sitting pretty in jail and then immediately he came out, he went to find Igawa/Ninomiya. There were some inconsistencies in the narrative by the end.
What exactly landed him in prison, defending himself against an intruder? Why would his girlfriend saying she did that be so terrible? Why take her place? The dude wasn't dead at the time (at least I hope Policeman Tsumura knew that) and he was going to kill her. That whole thing was senseless.

So, the siblings really do have feelings for each other?
Thanks for replying. I just have one other question please.. did they start having those feelings while they believed they were siblings?

I did plan to start watching when it was done airing but the sibling-feelings thing is giving me pause..

Yeah, could be but its just assumptions. He has high Yin energy and can cross, so is yang important or not? Is it special to him or not?

Could anyone with Shamanic abilities just cut open their necks, go into the spirit realm and come back when they pleased? Seems so..

Thank you for replying.

Yeah, the more I read answers, the more I think her spiritual ability may have made it possible, I guess..
The blood thing could be possible except, he only puts his blood on the peach stick in ep 1 so that it would travel to the other side with him, and she also puts his blood on the Jujube branch so it would appear in the spiritual realm in ep 2 or 3 making me believe HE (and his blood) is important to traveling to that realm. But then she just smears her own blood on her head and just travels there. Might be more logical if she smeared herself with his blood or went with him the first time.

I'm grateful for your input, thanks.

It could be the yin/yang thing but I don't really think so.
They just said she has a lot of yang energy and he had a lot of yin, that's it, no explanation as to how it would help her die and go to the gwi world.

I know she can hear spirits, that's her unique ability, same way seeing is his but in the first episode, we are told that after being under water for over 15mins and being thought dead, he came back to life and can now see spirits as he's neither fully human or spirit and can travel to both worlds, whereas she was born with the hearing but is fully human so how does that translate to her just throwing herself into water and hoping it works..

I'm just overthinking it.
Thanks for replying.

I guess that could be it but I wish show had given a logical explanation, it was sort of a big deal.

Thanks.

True. I decided to not ask deep questions and just enjoy the watch. Though a few still cross my mind..

Because who did he rush to fight at the end there and how did he get out? What was his deal with the primordial gwi thing? Why is he still chained? Are they hoping for a season 2 or just have no explanations?
Why did Saeng Gang's mom never speak to her before she drank the poison? She knew her kid could hear spirits, why not warn her before she gets close to the grandma, even cryptically?!

Title The East Palace Spoiler
Good show but I have a question for those who have watched this...
In ep 3, when the girl ties herself and enters the world of gwi, are we given an explanation as to why she can do this? I though Gu Cheon could because of the thing with his mum as a child and he clearly says, you have to DIE to go there and he seems to possess this unique ability as he "died" and is said to be neither fully human nor spirit but then she just does it in episode 3 with no qualms or repercussions whatsoever?
We don't see that she's afraid to DIE! or any doubt at all about drowning without knowing if she'll either make it there or come back. Seriously wouldn't regular people die after being underwater for more than 10mins? Then she does it again in ep 8 and I am just tired. If everyone can just tie themselves to a tree, drown, die, go into the spirit realm and come back out when they are done then what is the use of Gu Cheon, just send your soldiers with peach sticks to stop whatever is plaguing you.
I didn't understand or like that oversight and it wouldn't leave my brain. So, I'm asking if someone had any explanations.

Title Stove League Spoiler
1st eps in and everything look good except that 1 guy in the office that act weirdly and cartoonish. I mean i…
True. And what was his office or function asides from office clown? Why was he there?? And why did it seem like the ML almost couldn't see him?
They would be in a scene with the GM being serious and he would start jumping around and there would be no reaction at all from the GM. Is that possible? Whether a smile or a "pls sit down", nothing. It was so weird to see and it lasted from the beginning to end and created a weird dissonance in the scenes.

The show is well-done and the story is very interesting and I think it was all really greatly elevated by the acting especially from the three MLs.
From the first time we see him, Si eun is a powder keg waiting to blow and you watch waiting for it to happen and when it does, its done so so well. But then watching him slowly diffuse thanks to his forming friendships was really lovely.
Su ho was just too competent and charming to not like and the actor played him so very well.
But my absolute standout is Hong Kyung as Beom Seok. I watched this actor in the movie "Good News" last year and I really liked his acting but watching him here really increased my respect for his talent. He played BS with such layered nuance, he was timid, sad, lonely, irritating, jealous, pathetic, resentful, idiotic, confused and cowardly all at the same time. He felt like such a fully fleshed mess of confused, broken, lost, uncommunicative teen. And while his character is easy to dislike, I could never fully hate him at anytime which is WILD! and is thanks to the actor's skill.

My absolute favorite is his nephew Ren, I have no idea how they got that baby to be so free-spirited while still being firmly a part of the production but he is cute, his singing ad dancing of the Bug Ranger theme was stupendously endearing and he was just a lovely addition to an amazing show.
It was an easy watch, funny and lovely, conveying so much in just 5episodes without feeling unfinished or underdone, I have no idea how they do this but I love it very much, wouldn't add or remove a thing!
And well acted all around!

Is this what you are talking about? It's from this post:https://mydramalist.com/51571-cat-s-cradle#comment-3610705
Thank you for replying and sharing that link. It was a good read and made alot of sense. Certain things are clearer like the scene in ep.11, Yan Liang's death being a fact and what really happened to Pupu. But somethings I still don't get, like when the police officer Chen Sheng is supposed to have died and how we are to infer that without reading the book and why he is shown saving Yan Liang in ep.12, because even if it happens in the mind of ZCY, the question is why?
Infact, somethings are way too vague to be inferred and so just felt like too much was happening there at the end. I'm really glad someone shared all that info though now I'm not sure if it improved the show or just showed its flaws.
