Watched this gem in 2022 ,, by today's standards it's really interesting drama one of the best

I just stumbled on this drama on a fan page and was intrigued by certain scenes ,, I don't normally watch older than 2016 dramas ,, not very old but the production quality matters to me
in this one It was really good drama started with a criminal case then very funny youthful episodes made me laugh a lot then they dove into emotional cases revolves around the leads ,,,, I loved the whole cast especially the main leads ,, their dynamic and friendship was the best ,,, the romance wasn't heavy but it was the right amount and in it's right place ,,, wasn't forced or out of no where ,,, some relationships were awkward but it didn't last long in this awkwardness
the emotional case of the main lead broke my heart and made me very sentimental towards him ,, he was a cry baby but he has the right to be like that ,, he endured so much ,, no normal human being would be sane after all that
I liked every aspect of this drama ,, the friendship , the criminal cases ,, the detective parts even the villains were irritating as they can get and I liked how they played their role
I recommend this drama so much to anyone who likes friendship ,, light romance and melodramatic detective dramas

detective drama with a kid partner but went down hill the second half of it

It started really strong start and it had so much potential but the plot went downhill from half of the drama
connecting all the crimes in the laziest way possible and working the detective work very slowly to the point of boredom
the trust between the kid and the detective had so much potential for some kind of adopting a genius detective but they didn't
they ended it by leaving the kid alone a gain
I loved the angsty parts of it and somewhat thrill that the kid made for the drama but didn't like How things turned in the last few episodes
It's enjoyable watch don't get me wrong but you will skip a little towards the finale

Typical republican era drama But had it's good friendship Angsty scenes

I watched this drama for the male lead only and the trailer made it sound mystical and interesting
few first episodes of a slow-paced story then it picked up a little when the female lead started to become a decent person
not a psychopath
but there were new characters that has a lot of emotional baggage and a light-headed male lead started to love the female lead
There were some good Angsty scenes here and there was also the good male friendship between the male lead and his best friend, I stayed for their friendship,, didn't care about the romance, to be honest and there were multiple couples
overall it was enjoyable to watch sometimes and very boring other times so it's a mix of both
if you really like any of the actors you will enjoy it,, if you don't this drama will be a painful watch for you
There were a lot of family disputes and a lot of people getting injured and sometimes dying but to end up killing every single character in the drama and leave the male lead alone to his old age that's ridiculous and not fair
So decide for yourself whether is it worth watching or not

The Blandest not interesting family drama ever

I was interested at first, I dreamed of thrilling episodes, action and evil work then resolving everything for the greater good
I thought the grandson was a gangster and he will try to get his inheritance by force or try to harm the male lead that took his place or the other guy who wants to marry the female lead fights for her dirty fights or any kind of oh my god what will happen moments?
NONE OF THAT
so unrealistic so bland to the point of what was the writer thinking, this is boring
where are the melodramatic scenes, where are the evil deeds and it's effects, where is the most heartbreaking scenes that make you cry your heart out
why are all those people forgiven and very okay with everything
where is that kind of family that has everyone a decent person and accepts everything even if it is wrong?
even the gangsters who held the grandson's wife hostage we didn't know what happened to them
this is utter boredom and an inconsistent story

Emotional sweet some what light drama not smart one

This drama is very light and sweet, it's not extraordinary or unique, it's just a sweet peaceful type of drama
I got emotional a lot watching it and I consider any drama that makes me emotional, laugh, and crying to be a very good drama
it served its purpose for me
it made me feel happy sometimes and sad crying loudly other times
its love story isn't that touching, it's more like a healing drama
it made parting loved ones peaceful and calming,, healing the people left behind just with that thought of their parting loved ones at peace
don't watch it if you want something very funny or something very smart, it's not at all
also, they dragged the story of the dead kid too long and made it somewhat thrilling a bit but they failed at that unfortunately
overall it's emotional drama but not smart drama
it's for your heart, not your brain

Community police is different than regular criminal police in china

As I'm not Asian ,, I don't know their police system that well and I thought it was similar to anywhere else but it differs a little from my country or even western system
this drama is about community police not actual criminal police ,, that doesn't mean they don't deal with crimes ,, they do but in slightly different way
From what I understand that this drama is about small district police who deals mostly with community disputes and solve their problems ,, may be it focused more on that than actual big cases criminal investigation as every time they had a big case they must hand it over to other department or share it with them
It started really refreshing drama as it was as real as possible at first ten episodes or so and I enjoyed it very much but then it became some what overly dramatic with some cases and how the police handle them is just ridiculous ,,, the two seventy year old offenders who has their civil law on their side as they don't get punished for whatever they do and they did offend or harm others still the police bend backwards for them and served them if they have the right despite their offence .. I was so frustrated and annoyed so much by how the police handle their cases ,,, it wasn't right or fare for the people who were the victims of their offence
also the parents in this drama mostly are crazy ,, the crazy woman who slabbed the female officer after saving her daughter then insisting on suing the police station for not apologizing to her when she was scared about her daughter's disappearance and the female police officer asked for her blood sample as it's their procedures for such cases ,, the crazy lady got mad from that female lead and asked her to apologize even after she slabbed her by mistake and all the department was in big trouble for it ,, they all went to apologize for her instead ,, that was utterly insane
The female lead's mother was as much insane also how she interfered with her adult daughter's work and kept calling her bosses to transfer her ,, I have no idea how that adult female officer couldn't make a stand in front of her mother and asked her to back off or cut ties with her after that ,, it was the most irritating thing
So many similar incidents and cases of sorts but also it has some good dramatic stories and some emotional ones
overall it's very realistic and very good drama but needs some patience
the friendship and the mentor/ decibel relationship were the best and it were what kept me interested in the whole drama

Horrible ending and setting the male lead for it from the beginning

Season Two was so much fun to watch than this one ,, the previous season had more cases to solve ,, the male lead was sane and his mysterious past was intriguing ,, this season was so much more disturbing , painful and sad mostly
they set up the male lead for his horrible demise from the beginning
they made him insane and had some sort of terminal illness ,, they didn't give us the viewers any hope for him
then they focused more on the gore of the psycho and what he did to random people ,, they didn't have many stories like the previous season ,,
the acting was amazing from the male lead especially but the female lead made me hate her in this drama
The female lead's acting is horrible ,, she doesn't show emotions properly ,, in the most dire situations she just had one face ,,, it was cringing ,,some times I yelled at my screen ,,, yell lady shout be angry ,,, cry out loud ,, change that stupid concern look for all your emotions
The female lead ruined this drama for me with the plot that set the male lead up from the beginning
I gave 8 rating and it's good one because I enjoyed how the male lead played his character so much also the supporting cast they were really good too but the ending made me feel sad and angry to be honest

The male lead's misery and the fast paced episodes were the reasons for me to watch it

I watched the first season a year ago and I loved it too much that I didn't watch the second or the third ,, also I wasn't aware of Lee Jin wook's dramas by then ,,, I haven't watched any of his dramas until I watched his latest drama Bulgasal and WOW!!
I actually fell in love with him ,, he has such strong charisma especially in action and melodramatic dramas ,, he is suited the best in those dramas not the romantic ones ,,, I've became obsessed with his work then began to binge watch alot of his old dramas too ,,, he's brilliant actor ,,, he's not Idol like character but he has genuine korean and very manly image that when he act an emotional scene ,, you can't but to love his performance
Sorry I've talked alot about the male lead not the drama but actually the drama was so good too ,,, the pacing was really fast that sometimes I felt like out of breath running with them LOL ,,, it's really fast not draggy
I loved how the drama focused on the emotional part of every story ,, the villain was a hacker of sort that wasn't the interesting part but why did he do that was the interesting part ,, his motives weren't clear and his fixation on the male lead was weird
The female lead who hear voices didn't give me much but that ,,, really what she done for her character is hearing faint voices like a super powered hero ,, I didn't like how she acted as an actress ,, she didn't give me proper facial reactions in the most important scenes
I was let down a lot by her weak acting skills ,, she looked the same in every situation like she was a robot
she was the only weak think about this drama
I recommend this drama so much if you want something interesting ,, fast paced and emotional

Watered down Bromance drama hiding in detective genera

I watched it for the Bromance or the friendship between the two male leads ,, the age difference is really big so it's master apprentice relationship ,,, Actually their relationship was the only thing watchable from this drama because the criminal cases weren't interesting at all boring and snooze fest ,, they weren't even criminal cases it was just one stretched out the whole drama and it was very very boring ,, I skipped every thing about it ,, I don't even know what was their illegal activity LOL ,,
The older male lead was mesmerizing to look at and his acting skills were amazing ,, the younger one was okey not the best but okey ,, the humor was okey also
The female presence was just meh ,,, not that important ,, the female leads were just there to give censorship romance vibe but it wasn't good at all
As I said the only thing watchable about this drama is the male leads relationship nothing more ,, their care for each other was everything to the last episode
the Angsty parts weren't much unfortunately and the thrilling part wasn't there
so If you want to watch this drama you will skip a lot of boring scenes just to watch the two male lead's interact

Korean superhero version ,, fun watch mixed with tears and action

I felt like watching the Flash DC American tv show ,,it's so similar to this drama
The same start up for super hero story of a teenage kid
I liked the start ,,it was so interesting and emotional ,,, got a bit draggy in the middle with all the crime investigation fillers that had nothing to do with the actual story just to make it logical criminal case
I loved all the relationships of this drama ,, the friendship and the surrogate family unit they formed
Didn't like some parts of the Yung's side ,, it wasn't that interesting ,, punch of people in white giving the superheroes their powers ,,judging them while they are in their seats watching ,, endangering the kid's life more than once for their strict rules ,,, the other side was weak and wasn't thought properly by the writer
What I didn't like
1-the writer forget all about the kid's school and how he explained his absence fighting with the others all day every day
2-the male lead cried too much for someone whose 18 years old lost his parents seven years ago ,, I know I don't cry that much after losing my dad so many years ago ,,, that was too much crying not even logical ,, he wasn't a helpless little girl
3- The criminal case that was investigated by Mu tak took too long and was draggy
4-The bully kid was so interesting but they didn't handle his story properly at the ending ,, what happened to him after leaving school and why didn't the male lead asked him to be friends with him and kept him close
5-there were new characters introduced then disappeared for no good reason
6-that muddy bit with evil souls in it eating or drowning each other wasn't scary nor felt like good punishment
Actually too many issues but overall it was good watch

Just Action packed movie more American in styling than Chinese

I watched it because of Jacki chan and Yang Yang ,, to be honest ,, Jacki Chan wasn't that good even as a boss in the movie ,, it was meh ,, his action scenes is something of reminiscing about old jacki Chan action movies in America nothing more
also the nature and the styling in the movie seemed like American action movie ,, it doesn't have chinese tropes or Chinese emotional scenes that makes them unique ,, it was all explosions ,, car chasing and fights but may be the famously CGI chinese edits even the animals were crappy CGI ,, It was so obvious
the story had potential of some romance but it didn't show any but moment or two ,,, it had potential for emotional scenes but they cut it way too short ,,, it was good amusing watch ,, funny sometimes with the flying skate board soldier seemed from marvel universe super hero or Captain china wtf ??!!
what is captain china ?? they has their own heroes they didn't need American's marvel crap
Yang Yang was amazing in his actions scenes but they didn't give him much space to act in romantic or even emotional scenes like when he was trying to save his friend
Also representing Arabs was hamulating as usual ,,, more like America represents Arabs ,, I'm an arab so I felt offended
overall it's not bad movie but expect more actions like Americans do it than chinese heart felt emotional drama

Best military females centered drama I've ever watched till now

I watched this drama at first for the male lead ,, he has so much charisma and physically appealing
very tall handsome leader who is really serious and has strong personality
I will tell you first what I thought about if before I watched it
I thought I would drop this drama in the middle because I'm not a fan of females centered dramas or much military dramas
I thought it would be boring or draggy or portray females as superwomen or worse as most modern chinese dramas do get the romantic entanglements and problems thrown at our faces
ALL WHAT I'VE THOUGHT WAS WRONG
This drama surprised me big time
It got me interested not from first few episodes but later on when the female lead became one of the special warfare unit blue lightening ,, and the military training began
WOAH!!! it was such a hard and amazing ride to watch them experience all that very tough not humanly possible training to get them to best physical strength and best psychological fitness
How they bond as female team after so much troubles ,, How they were treated from each others and from their male colleagues also how the female lead wasn't special from them at all and wasn't treated preferably from the male lead's side ,, it was the opposite ,,he treated her the worst at first half of the drama because he wanted her to quit
The female soldiers were tough and have so much determination to succeed and beat men at their own game but they didn't lose their femininity along the way ,, they didn't turn into super women or masculine women who act like tom boys or pretending to me males ,, they were girls in their private space ,, they giggled ,, got jealous ,, loved men and fought each other as group of girls do in any place in the world ,, they were tough soldiers in the field but they were normal girls in private ,, they understood their weaknesses and they tried to compensate for it with their brains and they won over males more than once as they should
I loved the growth of all the characters and slow paced romance it was in it's natural way of taking it slow
but may be it got a bit illogical sometimes and I didn't care one bit about the evil side ,, the terrorists ,, they were boring to watch ,, skipped all the evil side scenes LOL
this drama is such enjoyable watch

This drama has unique way of solving crimes never seen before in any other detective drama ,, the male lead is a brilliant artist also a very smart person who uses his creativity in his drawings to expose criminals and solve difficult crimes but he has mysterious past that wasn't ever revealed in the drama also he's some what lonely , polite and very calm not arogenate genius
that's what I love about the male lead ,,he's not just a genius artist no he also a genius detective ,, psychological profiler and very polite towards people around him , he wasn't ever arogenate nor condescending as the other male lead
There are a lot of un answered questions in this drama about the male lead
like
was he an orphan ?? what is his background ?? they didn't mention but the incident that turned him in a detective artist and his teacher's case that's it
also the friendship was lacking alot and the director wasted so many good scenes to show proper friendship or Bromance
they are two detectives who are in danger most of the time and they save each other rather quickly then move on with no much of friendship talk scenes or caring scenes as if they were wrong to happen between them
but there were good friendship scenes towards the end nothing big just some jokes and ordinary friendship
also
The cases were really smart for the first half of the drama and really intriguing very fast paced ,, they didn't drag any case but they used too much time to confuse us in every case
this drama is one of the best detective chinese dramas and it's light with absolutely no romance to ruin it
I hope there is a second season for it
this drama will get you hooked from the start to finish but it has so many holes and rushed scenes unfortunately
but I recommend it to anyone likes friendship and unique detective drama

Over dramatic plot and draggy romance but watchable not that bad

I came to watch this drama in 2022 after watching Bulgasal drama ,, the male lead caught my eye in bulgasal and I loved him there and this drama at first glance seemed ok ..... I liked the synopsis but when I actually began to watch it ,, started to get bothered by a lot of things
first of all this drama was released 2016 the golden year for amazing korean dramas ,, this one definitely the weakest of them all ....... the story is too dramatic and unrealistic in any way .
The classic novel count de Monte Christo sort of story ,,, and how he escaped death twice or may be three times was ridiculous not humanly possible
The medical procedures in this drama are laughable ,, nothing medically accurate in this drama and there are so many sick scenes for Angsty purposes and serious injuries ,,, the male lead got shot then was treated as if it was nothing ,, then got blown up then drowned and also was treated as if it was nothing then he had an aneurism in his brain kept fighting and inserting himself in so many conflicts any normal brain would have been hurt not with an aneurism ,, his sister was pushed through terrace and fell from second floor and escaped death with blind eyes ,, nerve damages that has never been treated and she got treatment ,, him getting beaten up a lot while in this health condition and every time he's okey after scanning his brain ,, even at the last episode there were too much drama for no reason at all
The writer made over used melodramatic situations that it became overrated and ridiculous the last episode was absolutely illogical ,, why in the world did the female lead went to confront the evil guy without backup as if she's committing suicide and yet the male lead didn't even got out of the operating room also
How The doctors left the compass in his hands while in surgery and he was clutching on it ,, isn't the operating room supposed to be sanitized and non personal belongings with the patient ,, he's supposed to be naked in the surgery ,, they left the compass in his hands and he was holding it tight ,,, How ,, he was practically brain dead and under general Anastasia
part from all that medical nonsense ,, the villains were like from cartoons or something that old guy and his crazy laugh it was hilarious ,, evil laugh hahahahaha
the female lead did a lot of stupid moved and I mean a lot ,, the love triangle existed to make us feel sorry for her co worker who loved her ,, he was really good character
overall I didn't enjoy this drama that much to be honest even if it was fictional all of it ,, it wasn't that good not like Bulgasal at all ,, of course no comparison between them at all

Worst sci fi drama I've ever seen ,, really waste of time ,, Incoherent and disappointing

It started mysterious okey that supposed to happen in sci fi dramas then it became about a villainous app that grant wishes but get people killed ,, so that was interesting ,, I wanted to know where it's headed because we live in the world of apps and social media ,, then they added some romance ,, then trauma from the past as Asian dramas usually does then it became about wanting to destroy the app but somehow family drama entangled with the mission that failed horribly all that and they mixed with it some sort of people dying and coming back to life with a chip ,, I don't know if that was virtually or real ,, that wasn't explained then it became all over the place ,, I didn't follow what was going on exactly
I don't know when the male lead switched side to the evil side and why ??? And did he really killed his own father ??? that wasn't clear
I really was lost and didn't know what was this drama about after all that
It's an utter mess
