In the arts like novels or visual media, it refers to different parts of a work with different themes or settings. For Xianxia genre, it's normal to have a first arc where the characters are introduced and get to know each other. Second arc goes through conflict and maybe romance or heavenly tribulation. Third and final arc is usually defeating the villain and saving the world or love interest. I'm generalizing but hopefully you get the idea.

It’s not doing well at all on Douban. Mostly one star reviews
The fans waited a looong time for LotFG so they praise it a lot. But it's not as serious as the trailer, plus the leads are mismatched. CL's role in Shadow Love is much better. We can talk about it via DM if you want as I don't like to discuss another drama here.
