I blame the script because if a character has to explain things then there's a problem. But yes, JH was the highlight of this arc.

No, each part is a standalone. It's like the MCU, you see character cameos and references to other parts but it's not necessary.

I've watched till Ep.16 which is the halfway point and since the ending is already known, I'd say this is an average drama. Not bad but not outstanding either. I enjoyed the "future" arc and was more invested in JL and JH's romance; the villains' side was just more interesting and sympathetic.

The vocal songs are good and give that somber mood of lost love but the fight scenes are poorly done and basically just fast-forwarding.
