So the emperor got his only friend and trusted subordinate killed just to manipulate him into serving the crown prince later, after a few years of suffering in prison. He deserves to be poisoned😑
Its like the theme of blood of youth and its prequal where a good emperor is not a morally righteous person and…
I think there was a saying that "Great men are not good men". But yes, an emperor should be able to balance all the factions in court and the military. The crown prince seems very naive compared to his brother.
I hate to say it but the post-marriage episodes have been boring. Losing the energy and momentum from the earlier part. The main plot of revenge and reincarnation haven't been addressed yet and there are only a few eps left.
Shouldn't Miao Ansu and her husband be granted a new residence to go with her new status as a Princess? Why is…
Because she's not a real princess. They just gave her a title to save the Emperor's face so he doesn't go back on his promise to SH. The episode further adds to this by repeatedly pointing out her family members who behave in a very ill-mannered way at the wedding and then all the people gossiping about SH's status as a bastard son. The palace attendant is just there to cause a rift between Ansu and DZ. The whole thing is like a sham wedding.
The most interesting character in this drama is Ji Yong. He feels more human and fallible than even DZ at times. I'm hoping his fate isn't the same as in the previous life.
It's from Romance of The Three Kingdoms. In short, he's basically saying she is smart and capable, but also poking fun at himself for expecting her to be romantic at this moment.
Special kudos should go to the scriptwriter who did a phenomenal job. So many novel adaptations have bad scripts and disappoint. I hope they work on more projects in the future.
