I mean.. that can be said for all 3 guys around her. They're all possessive and wants to "protect" her. They all…
Excuse me? That's a different drama which I didn't watch. You have an issue you can go take it up with the director. The ending has nothing to do with me or anything fans says here

The husband never really tried to protect her. The guard is too naive at times. But my original comment isn't about comparing the others. The lord forgot one important thing in all this which HQ has previously pointed out to him. His mother the Grand Princess has to give her approval for his marriage and she's not going to want a divorced woman to marry her son. I bet we'll see a conversation between her and HQ soon.

That's the thing isn't it? The more power one has, the more careful they should be in exercising it. The lord is so blatant that even the 2 women in his house have noticed. The one in pink is a schemer and I wouldn't put it past her to eliminate HQ.
I think the lord's behaviour is becoming more possessive and erratic. It's not romantic even if he is helping her. He's got spies watching HQ's every move. He'd be a stalker in 2023. Plus no care at all to HQ's reputation as a divorced woman in a feudal society.
Felt the same, I guess they listed all the barriers, so we now know what they need to overcome. I wonnder if this…
LOL! Personally I'm cheering for the bodyguard. Better to have a man devoted to you without ulterior motives. I think HQ just wants a simple happy life at this point
Can someone explain how those indentures work? what's written on those contracts?
An indentured servant is like a slave. Unless someone buys out their contract, they can't leave their current employer/owner. This was common in the ancient world, not just in China.
