Mister Romantic

USA

I write fantasy/romance novels in my spare time when I am not watching TV shows and movies. I lived in Taiwan for a year and Japan for two years, so I decided to watch a few Asian shows. I was amazed at the world that opened up in front of me like a field of blossoming flowers. Now I’ve been pulled into this universe of drama and romance.

I prefer the romance genre or rom/com, but I’ll watch other genres if they grab my attention. I’m not too fond of shows with excessive bullying or parental abuse (BOF, for example). An occasional amount is ok, but misery isn’t drama.

I look for romance in every drama I watch. Creative character development and smoldering on-screen chemistry will keep me entertained from start to finish. The romantic process is a beautiful thing to watch. Romantic chemistry is body language, facial expressions, romantic dialog and touching. But the most important part of this process is the kiss. To make the romance real the kiss has to be real. Committing to the kiss brings it all together.

Some of my favorite kisses…
1… Seo Hyun Jin and Eric Man in Another Miss Oh. (Episode 9) HyunJin is a mind-boggling Kisser.
2… Chae Soo Bin and Yoo Seung Ho in I’m Not A Robot was one to remember.
3… Jun Ji Hyun and Kim Soo Hyun in You Who Came From the Stars. Who could ever forget that red carpet scene?
4… Jin Ki Joo and Kim Young Kwang in The Secret Life of My Secretary. I was on the edge of my seat watching that first kiss. One of the most romantic kisses I’ve ever seen.

I watch dramas from Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China, and Thailand, as long as they’re romantic. In these dramas, I get to see feelings and emotions expressed in new and beautiful ways. They show the natural growth and flow in a relationship that expands in ways that touch your heart. That’s no small task, and that’s why I watch. A whole new world has opened to me. So, yes, I’m a romantic man that loves watching on-screen romance.

I rate dramas strictly on how much I enjoyed watching them and how the romance made me feel..
