UM NO. I am a fan of Omegaverse and I despise this series because it isn't capturing the essence of Omegaverse.…
How to gate-keep omegaverse, go back to your novels if you don't like the series. You expect Chinese actors to portray in sexual scenes? Even though we all know there is a ban on anything homosexual in that country! Yes, the series isn't being aired in Mainland China, but the actors could still face consequences back home. So it's going to be censored. Revenged Love is the same, censored, but we are already getting more than what most expect! And to even give Pitbabe as an example or to compare Desire to is hilarious. Maybe be a bit more thankful that there is even a show that is an omegaverse, seeing as most companies do not even want to touch the subject! What exactly are you expecting? Multiple orgies? Scenes where alphas go at it constantly? You won't be seeing that even in Thai series, if a company ever decides to make an omegaverse series. Hell, not even Pitbabe is like that, not in season 1 and not in (the messiness that is) Pitbabe 2. The fact that characters are mentioning having fulfilled his apha urges, should be enough! I would recommend you stop watching this series if you are watching it, you are only going to be disappointed if this is your opinion after only 4 episodes!
Too bad that it's only one ep per week though 😬 I know people are probably tired of hearing it but I'm afraid…
Can somebody explain this “losing interest”? If you watch a series and you find it good, having only one episode per week, shouldn’t be a reason to stop watching a series. It’s not as if there aren’t hundreds other BL’s series to watch in the mean time, do we not have the patience to wait anymore?
Maybe I’m a bit old school, but before there were any streaming services, you could only watch kabel/TV, if you missed an episode, there was no way to watch it back, you had to wait months until episodes got repeated.
I really am curious what kind of series you have been watching if you expect more episodes then one a week, Thai, Taiwanese, Japanese and Korean BL series are almost all one episode a week. More episodes per week is more of an exception.
I'm liking the second couple more and I see that many people do too. Gao Tu is a character you feel empathy. He…
Let’s get something right, Gao isnt harming himself to get closer to Shen, Gao has been harming himself for far longer, long before Shen came into the picture! He’s been doing it since the moment his mother started giving him the suppressors and drilling into him that he was a Beta. This is learned behavior, behavior that Gao would’ve showed with or without Shen in his life! Gao has serious mental issues, he cannot accept who he is. And he will need a lot of therapy to let go of that learned behavior. This is not something that Shen can fix, even if Shen had no problems with Omegas, Gao still has had drilled into him by his mother, that he cannot tell nor show to anybody that he is in fact an omega. Gao deserves the empathy, he had an absolutely terrible childhood, but Shen is not at fault for Gao hurting himself, that lies far deeper than that.
I'm usually super picky when it comes to watching BL dramas, but this one completely got me hooked from…
Agreed, I adore the main couple. They are interesting, fresh, quirky, I’m kind of done with the whole damsel in distress who need big strong men to save them kind of storylines. It’s not the series, but more me having seen to many of those shows. I honestly cannot wait until we see Hua lose the Omega act and show his true Enigma “form”, let show us that power he has.
Finally finished this one, when it still was airing I stopped after episode 6, because of the dads abuse. But I need to empty my watching list so watched this one today, hated the ending, even if it was a happy one, I was left wondering about so many things. The last episode was rushed, so rushed. It was a good series, probably not a series I will watch again but that’s mostly because of the abuse Qi Lu goes through.
You know I can somewhat understand Akira, at some point of your life, you start to feel pressure from people around you, family and society. It’s how you deal with the pressure that matters. Im 34, single, live alone, no kids, never married. And honestly I’m so happy with my life, who cares what the people around me want, I get to life only ones. Why would I want to give up my life for the boxes of others?
I’m disappointed and a bit mad at Akira, it’s not even wanting to live a normal life, I can somehow understand that. For me it’s the part, where he relentlessly persuit Yuuki, lived happily together, but then stopped trying, stopped communicating, just stopped putting effort into all of it. Long term relationships go through a rut sometimes, it’s at those moments, you keep trying and communicating about it.
I honestly wanted to skip the moments Akira was with the woman having his “normal” life, while he absolutely broke Yuuki’s heart. I also cannot understand how he could go on with that woman, while living in the apartment he shared with Yuuki. Did he just pretend to not see memories of them everywhere?
If I was Yuuki I wouldn’t have forgiven him (even if I can understand it) much less got back together with Akira, he traded Yuuki in like it was nothing, the guy who went digging late at night to find Akira favorite lighter in the sand. Akira had a diamond and he took that diamond for granted.
It’s a really good series, it shows how the pressure formed (unintentionally) by society, family, colleagues and friends can destroy lives. The series showed, how hard it can be to step outside of “normal” expectations of society. It also showed how hard long term relationships are.
Maybe a bit of an unpopular opinion, but people need to stop complaining about there only being one episode airing per week. We have had longer BL series (for example: Perfect 10 Liners, Fourever You, etc), which also only aired one episode per week! And with how fast time is going, before we know it, it's October and we will be watching the last episode and saying we don't want the series to end! We will just have to accept it, it's not like the streaming services are going to change the airing schedules! There is always the option of waiting until the series has completely aired.
SW & GT have known each other for over a decade. From GT ‘s perspective it’s clear that he likes SW a lot…
Im sorry but that somehow should make it up for the absolute emotional abuse Shen puts Gao through? He doesnt just speak rudely and has a foul mouth, he is abusive and all because of jealousy, give me a freaking break!
He's possessive, domineering and a sadist (he gains pleasure from hurting his sexual partner-- think Christian…
Please don’t use Christian Grey as an example. Most people in the BDSM community despice him and the movies. He is not a good nor healthy example for a Dom or Sadist.
I smell angst is coming... it is a foreshadow here 😭😭💔💔
Yes the break up is coming, everything in the series is hinting at it. I’m hoping it will be ep 13, then 14 have them make up. And not let it be 14 break up and 15 make up, otherwise we need to wait another week.
Yeah, the kiss scene really didn't meet my expectations, it was still too messy and didn't give a feeling of emotion.…
Wtf the kissing scene didnt meet expectations? It was one of the better kissing scenes out there! What more do you want? To have them stiff kissing? It was full of passion and emotions! I swear some people are never satisfied!
Rating dropped to 8.6 from 8.9Why? You expected NC scenes got edited out? The episode did not released on the…
Speculation has it that Thai fans of other series have been downvoting, to not have these series overshadow their favorites actors series. Desire was also downvoted and sadly it also happened to TopForm.
People on youtube commenting on the 'after sex' scene saying that they cut the NC scene and that it's getting…
Seriously? After that heated kiss they still complain? Honestly I rather have 10 of those kissing scenes then have one nc scene. If people want to know more, of have more information about what happened after those scenes, they could always read the novel! The Untamed was a big succes and there was never any physical contact between the leads, but the novels went on and gave more context. Sometimes I feel like people just want to complain, doesn’t matter what’s it about! Those people also need to understand that it’s a grey area in how much they can and cant show, the series isnt airing in China, but the actors are still Chinese and can face consequences back home!
The Gao Tu story is our today's society. Those in bad relationships, those with dark skin colors, those that are…
I honestly also have a hard time feeling sympathy for Gao Tu. I do not understand willingly destroying your body, i mean i can get why his mother wanting him to say that he was a Beta, but to have that effect his life all the way through adulthood is a thing. I personally wouldve quit my job long ago, if my boss treated me that way, but love makes blind.
As somebody who had a sick body from birth, i have a hard time with him destroying his body, when a doctor is telling you that it needs to stop, you need to stop. Gao Tu needs therapy and self healing before he starts a relationship with anybody.
And Gao Tu baby, let’s find you a good man. Someone who wouldn’t feel ashamed that you’re an omega, someone…
Gao Tu needs therapy, not somebody else trying to heal him. His issues run so deep that a partner is never going to fix that! He needs to realize that what he is doing is destroying his body! If even a doctor cant get through to him, what makes you think a partner will get through to him?
They really should release at least 2 episodes per week , they have too much censorship issues so before series…
This series and Revenged Love are not in danger of getting banned, the series arent being aired in China. Both series are co-production between multiple countries, the same way Meet You At The Blossom and numerous other series are done. None of those were banned or scrapped. The censorship is only in effect in China, they cannot do anything about the series being aired in other countries.
The only thing China can do is separate the actors after the series is aired. Immortal and Winter is King are two Bromances that are made in China and the companies behind those series want to see it aired in China, but that means it needs to go through the censorship. That isnt the fact with Desire.
Absolutely loved the kiss DaBao initiated, beautiful, passionate, just perfect. Other BLs should take this as an example, this is how you give your audience what they want! Not those Limp Fish Kisses or kisses that barely touch the lips or even worse it being noticeable that one of the actors is giving of the vibes, that they are being forced to kiss. Looking forward to the next episode!
