Dropped this after the first episode and honestly every time I get back to this page and see that the rating dropped once again, I get giddy, sorry not sorry. Since then I’ve seen more then enough clips on social media that only confirmed why I dropped it. I said on FB 2 weeks ago that I wouldn’t be surprised if they used the whole Mpreg trope as a way to get more viewers, but won’t actually show any pregnancy and will probably end the series with a “oh surprise, one of them is pregnant”. Apparently I was right. I hope other countries learn that Knot is not the way to do a Omegaverse. I feel sad for Boat and Oat, they had so much potential, sad to see that even their chemistry was starting to disappear, even their NC scenes started to feel forced. Hope their next series will be better.

You actually dare to compare this shit show to WTPR? Thats an major insult to WTPR, yes they fumbled with the last episode, but overall WTPR had a good storyline which was executed well, nothing compared to Knot.

Episode 12
Here I thought for a second we actually got LXF growing a backbone but nope, as soon as BLQ showed up with his side kick LXF goes back to the hunged shoulders, the looking at the ground all submissive. And don’t get me started on that proposal and acceptance of said proposal, both ML’s haven’t seen each other in quite some years, yet just start back up where they left of? No asking if LXF might possibly have somebody else now, no explanation, none of that. Ridiculous. Also a church wedding in the 1990’s in Europe? Let’s just take that with a grain of salt.

Episode 11
You know LXF grew on me, but honestly BLQ is getting on my nerve, you see him in the previous episodes talking about how he’s worried LXF won’t be able to stand up against his mother. But when the truth is revealed and LXF wants to divorce but is then forced to leave everything behind including BLQ by the father, you don’t see BLQ standing up against his father saying this is too far or I won’t let that happen. It needs to happen from both sides, I honestly I get why LXF called everybody, that way the truth is out and he won’t be a dirty little secret anymore. Maybe if BLQ was honest to him about being forced to marry someone, it wouldnt have happened. Honestly their problems are ridiculous because it could all be solved if they both just talked to each other!

Ugh barely into the second episode, please somebody tell me that LXF grows out of that insecure, doormat character soon. Like I get it, LXF is world apart from that rich family he married into, but he’s giving the chance to study, to learn. They are treating him like dirt and he’s letting them do it, they put him somewhere on the top corner in the attack, a rich family that can’t even give him a decent room (let alone a bed with a matras). I even get that he’s grown up like that with the family he has, but seriously grow a backbone! The whole let me serve you, cook for you, dude if you are acting like a servant, they are going to treat you like a servant!

I really like this series, but I absolutely hate how they use AI. Even with the flashback in episode 6, like why not just hire cheap B or C actors who play the parents of Lin Yan? I get it when they explained it how Nie Chuan helped those villagers and all that, the showing of the war, etc. But the flashback with the uncle and Lin Yan’s dad they didn’t need to use AI.

Finished it, I quite enjoyed this one. Yes the storyline was a bit predictable, but it’s a KBL with only 10 episodes, 20 minutes each. How much of a story can you really tell in a 3,5 hour series. It’s not like it’s an C-drama with 40 or 50 episodes.

I took a point of the score for two reasons, one I wish we had more scenes between the two male leads. Their love story was quite minimalistic which makes it a bit harder to believe they went from FWB to confidants, to lovers. And two I wish they hadn’t rushed the ending, an episode or two would have rounded up the story more. I wouldn’t have minded if Chaeha got some apologies from his colleagues after how they treated him.

Just watched the first 3 episodes, I feel so bad for Chaeha. Even if his father murdered somebody (which apparently is the question), he didn’t have to suffer the consequences because of his father’s actions. Being labeled son of a murderer is harsh, the treatment he received from other is horrendous. I know in S. Korea children tend to get blamed for what the generations before them did, all because of association.

Did you even make it past the first episode like it shows on your list? If you didn’t, you can’t really judge a 50 episode show on just the first episode, give it at least 15 or so episodes. With a lot of Cdramas the first 10 episodes are mostly world building and story building. With the Untamed it’s even more so like that, I think the first 15 episodes are mostly world building, story building, character building and explanation.

Currently almost at the end of episode 6, the grandma or chairwoman once again pushing the whole marriage to the 2ML aka Kang Min Hwan (who is giving stalker creep vibes) and honestly it’s starting to irritate me. I know she means well, I know FL getting married gets her a better footing in ths company and all that. But seriously what is she thinking? Just because they were childhood friends? It doesn’t seem like they kept in touch after that whole accident where the brother died and FL kept seeing him. Does the chairwoman really think that is going to be a good match? FL constantly being reminded of the dead brother. Maybe I’m too biased because I’m getting the creeps and see red flags all over that 2ML. But honestly what is she thinking?

Agreed! I hate the ending, how the 2FL can get away with all that she did, including killing ML’s father and pushing a pregnant FL from the stairs and causing a miscarriage. She apparently doesnt get punished for any of that, only the acid part. Yet the ML turns himself and gets prisoned, which isnt explained clear enough why he is punished. Not a word of the uncle of FL and his shady deals. Apparently the Mu family (2FL) blackmailing ML into giving away 41% of his family company shares is allowed? The series is almost 4 hours long but the ending is rushed. Personally if I knew my uncle schemed and handed me over to somebody else, I wouldn’t have cared if he was thrown into jail, I wouldn’t have people blackmail me with that after that.

Just finished episode 5 and I’m starting to get annoyed with the grandmother / chairwoman of all that. I don’t like how she’s pushing (practically blackmailing) Yeo Ri to get together with Min Hwan. FL clearly wants to keep a distance between them, probably because she isn’t comfortable being around him seeing as it would remind her of his dead brother and the reason why he’s dead. I can’t imagine the grandmother not knowing the background story between Yeo Ri and the brother, seeing as the annoying cousin knows it. So why is grandmother so ademend about this? Even when FL said I thought you would give me some time, it seemed like grandmother was trying to butter him up (giving Min Hwan the wrong idea). I don’t get it.

Half way through the second episode and the whole banning, confiscating and burning of the books hurt my book lovers heart.

Spoiler after first episode I can’t help but feel like the ex fiancé just wanted to fight with her to break up. He didn’t explain thr situation to her with the female client, he didn’t communicate the pressure and feelings he had about their relationship, yet had no problems saying that FL had pressured him into marriage. I can’t help but feel like he liked the thrill and excitement the client had and became even more convinced about the break up. Yeah sure FL was maybe a bit hasty thinking he was cheating, but honestly I don’t think it was such a stretch for her to think it. He didn’t show up at their new apartment after midnight, then her friend saw him with the female client all hugs and flirtatious, then after the fight stayed the entire night away without communicating anything to FL. Anybody would wonder what is going on. Maybe he did eventually cheat on her if it had taken longer, he clearly no longer was invested in their relationship.

Two things I want to say while I’m not even 20 minutes into the first episode. First why had it be Li Xin Ze who plays the cheating scumbag? I’ve seen him play that role too many times already. Second, why didnt Qiao Fei ask for protection glass on her phone screen after it fell the first time 😂😂

I wouldn’t be surprised if fans of the main couple are voting it higher, happens quite often with Thai BL series that have fixed couples.

Its not that I do not want to watch other Omegaverse series that come after. The way Knot was marketed left me with a bad taste in my mouth, the whole first real Omegaverse and later first Thai Omegaverse.

I can’t help but feel like they tried to hitch a ride on the popularity for Omegaverse that came after Abo Desire came out. I feel like they made this series too fast, as in they didn’t really think about the storyline and the execution of said storyline. I don’t want to compare it to Abo Desire but they took much more time to create a decent series and maybe thats because the NJ sisters were present at every step of the way, not to mention they wrote the novel. They did a great job showing the relationship between the beings, next to the overal plot that the series has. Even if it’s maybe not as detailed as Knot is showing, you got the picture and knew what was happening. Especially for those who have read Omegaverse before

The Knot series feels very lackluster from the scenes I saw on Social Media. It feels like the producers and directors are banking on the NC scenes to make it good, and while I do think Boat and Oat are very good in showing those scenes, sometimes a series needs more then that alone. From the reactions I see on social media and here on MDL, it seems like you need to read the novel to understand why characters decide a certain way, if that is indeed the case, for me that would mean the series and the directors has/have failed to deliver what it should be.

They probably will, with how good the current Chinese bl’a are, they are less restricted in what they can and can’t do.
