Drama, Action, Romance. Everything I need!
I really enjoyed this show. Ofc, the storyline is nothing new or original but that did not make the show boring or anything. Two men with a shared moment in the past reuniting while one of them is undercover. The two male leads had great chemistry and I enjoyed the dynamics between the characters.I understand why people criticize the show for the use of AI in the Flashbacks. I also would have liked real Flashbacks but at the same time I can understand why they decided not to. In the end, it was only used for one or two scenes, and the majority of time there where real actors, who put a lot of effort in portraying the characters well. So I can accept the usage of AI in two scenes.
The Ending… I get why shows like to use the “oh, the male lead is dead, but in the last scenes he appears again, without any explanation,…happy ending!” plot but in general, I am not a huge fan. I always end up with questions like “how did he not die? What was he doing in the year he was presumed dead?? Why did he not try to contact Nie Chuan before?” Yeahhhh, not a fan of having unanswered questions after a show.
Overall, this show was very enjoyable. It had action, romance and drama, and while it was not long and not the most high quality production, the finished show is definitely worth the watch in my opinion.

Are the Conversations written by AI???
The Story Idea has Potential and the couples do have chemistry. I don‘t think the Problem lies with the actors in this case. My Problem are the kind of weird and pointless conversations. The feel like they don‘t have a red thread to them. Like… they know each other for Like 5 Day and they are like, „I love you and will allways protect you?“ Idk the convos kinda feel Like AI written to me🙌🏻Was this review helpful to you?

ChiWei are my life now!
When I started watching this show, I did not expect it to become this big. I had no idea what the show was about, and I honestly just began watching it out of boredom. LUCKILY, I DID!Who would have thought that this show would capture my heart in such a way that I’m still not over it, even though it already ended a week ago?
The actors are absolutely perfect for these roles, and the dynamics between them are pure gold. And the chemistry between Chi Cheng and Wu So Wei??? They could open a whole chemistry lab, guys!
The storyline itself was also just perfect. From Wu wanting to get revenge on Chi for stealing his girlfriend, to Wu selling his parents’ house to help Chi Cheng—nothing felt rushed between the two of them. Every emotion the characters felt was justified and well delivered. The show had funny, sad, cute, and dramatic scenes, and I enjoyed all of them.
It was a well-rounded story that left me wanting more after every episode.
The only minus point I would give, when it comes to the story, is that, for me personally, the whole matter with Chi Cheng finding out about Wu’s initial intentions was resolved a bit too quickly. It was the key point of their relationship. Throughout the show, I kept wondering what would happen if Chi found out. I braced myself for a huge fight that would get resolved maybe three episodes later. But in the end, it was forgotten and never talked about again because Wu’s mother died. I get why, but I would have appreciated one clearing conversation.
The music in this show was a 10/10. The recurring songs throughout the whole show were so beautiful. I will never be able to listen to “Somewhere in Your Eyes” again without starting to cry, hahahaha.
Overall: This show is a must-watch for BL fans and has everything a good romance should have!!!
