Why K-Drama?

-Why not? K-dramas for me aren't just a fun pass time or a way to wake up in the morning. K-drama's represent the very best in story telling. As an avid reader; the average K-drama employs the typical storytelling that you would have in a full length novel. There is a beginning, a middle, and an ending typically with a 2 minute prologue.  This is very much unlike american Television where a simple story line could take several seasons to be completed; and even then there is always a fear of cancellation or depressing viewership outcomes.  K-drams have heart; passion. That's why K-dramas for me.

Which was my very First K-drama?

-Fated To Love You. I was home sick and as a joke to my Mom who was sitting next to me on the couch, I put on a K-drama on my laptop. I've always loved Mulan and had watched it twice that morning already. I did a youtube search and somehow landed on Fated to Love You. I fell in love during the first episode. I laughed so hard and I cried so much. The fact that my emotions were in such play told me that I was onto something.  I finished it late the next morning. I've been hooked since. That was three and a half years ago.

Which K-Drama is my all time Favorite?

-Warrior Baek Dong Soo. I watched this drama shortly after Fated To Love You. I have so many feels for this drama. This drama really started me on my love affair with K-Drama OST's and I admit to still listening to this one. Warrior really brought out the Bromance that I would come to love in future dramas. It also had exemplary choreography and some of the best actors that I had seen. I adored the two 'older' actors the most at times.; the Patriarchs of Acting. But to see those two main actors acting today in big dramas makes my heart so proud. I feel like we've all come so far in the last few years.
