Are we talking about the same drama? They're basically using sexual position to determine if something's a rape or not. Li Cheng basically said that if Xing Si was the top, then it's not rape because his younger bro was stronger than him but if he was the bottom then it's rape.

He's more of a movie actor and he takes movies with well written character and story, I doubt you'll see him in a drama anytime soon.

That's normal. They do it for everything. They never name the song/artist, just "Man/Woman singing in xx language".

That's why I think this is inferior too. Because in the novel, Boya-Qingming bond is super important. But this one doesn't even explore it at all.

No. That's what they writers did. He was brutally abused, instead of therapy and taking criminal action and showing us how he recovers, they glossed over the fact that he was brually raped by grown men by creating a fantasy ship with his brother. And then they tried to cast the villain in a sympathetic light by showing him as a lonely, troubled boy rather than a manipulative, evil proxy rapist.

Don't forget how badly they treated Tar being gangraped.

Good movie. I prefer the other one for the portrayal of the main leads, but this one's also good. What I especially liked about this one was that it had way more Yokai representation compared to the other one where we saw none.

What I disliked about this was it had zero development in the friendship/bond between Qingming and Boya. Their friendship/bond is the main crux of the story in the original source material (the Onmyouji novel, which is what the game was based on) and it was completely missing here. That's why I rate Dream of Eternity higher than this, because it actually bothers to show their bond.

I'd reckon you're talking about the other Yin Yang movie with Deng Lun? This one's a different movie. This is based on the mobile game called Onmyouji. Whereas the other one is based on the novel called Onmyouji (The game Onmyouji takes inspiration from the novel).
