Mind recommending some?
Yeah the Guest is full of possessions so yeah it's not for you then lol I find neither Saw nor Paranormal Activity remotely "scary" lol entertaining? Definitely in case of Paranormal Activity (I find Saw rather stupid though, actually I personally find Slashers more stupid and maddening than scary because they are full of braindead characters).

Definitely skip the Guest then because there's a lot of violence, blood and possession moments. lol

lmao omg that's extreme xD If you find something like HDL and Oh My Ghost scary then you'll definitely find the Guest scary xD HDL is more comic fantasy and OMG is full on comedy if you ask me lol

I'm an avid Horror fan, maybe that's why but IMO the Guest is less horror and more procedural crime drama with supernatural setting. Like it focuses on mystery and solving the mystery over jumpscares and all.

True. I was hoping we'd see more of the Yung people. Kinda disappointing we didn't. Also would like to see more counters from other areas you know.

Well, they're also giving life to 4 of the counters (sans Somun) since they were all in coma so it's a fair trade off if you ask me.

I haven't actually seen a lot of 2020 Cdramas. But the Kdramas I'd rate the best of 2020 (in no particular order) are:

1. Memorials aka Into the Ring - definitely one of the top 3 of 2020, not everyone's cup of tea, but if you like quirky dramas with idiosyncratic characters this one is for you
2. Chocolate - bring lots of tissues as this one's a hell of a tearjerker
3. Diary of a Prosecutor - a really fun, episodic slice of life with an overarching plot
4. Penthouse - take your blood pressure meds because this one will make you livid throughout, it's SKY Castle on steroids
5. Uncanny Counter (it's still airing)
6. Nobody Knows - prolly the most atmospheric mystery-crime thriller of the year with excellent performances by Kim Seo Hyun and the rookie Ahn Ji Ho
7. Like in the Movies - this one's a gay drama, but it's unlike other Asian gay dramas. It's very progressive and tackles a lot of actual problems like toxic allies. Definitely one of the best Asian "BL" I've seen (I hate calling it a BL personally because it transcends the genre)
8. Search

They cannot participate in changing the situations in human world. It'd be breaking their law or something. And it'd be immensely hypocritical of them to take part in it while also criticising the MCs for it.

Disagreed. The expositions we've seen are important. A show cannot be 99% action and 1% plot. These exposition we've been seeing is crucial to the narrative as it creates a backdrop and mindset of the characters.

I disagree. There's no redeeming his character. While yes he had a terrible childhood, it still doesn't change…
That's not how it works though. To become a vessel for these evil spirit, you must first have a blood thirst and intense will to kill. It's been explained over and over again. And once you kill a person, THEN ONLY the evil spirit will be activate inside you. So basically, you cannot commit crimes without being evil yourself. Jeongshin was already beyond redemption before the spirit started controlling him.

Quite disappointed as I was just watching episode 13, not too sure why but think cos nothing much on the development?…
Eh what? Episode 13 was full of development. In fact it's one of the most progressive episode of the whole show:

1. Somun got control of his powers
2. Jeongyong's killer got exposed and was swiftly caught
3. Jeongshin died finally
4. A concrete evidence of Mayor killing the girl was revealed
5. We got info on how the highest level demons can be caught

I disagree. There's no redeeming his character. While yes he had a terrible childhood, it still doesn't change the fact that he was more or less a sociopath and killed a person before he came under the control of an evil spirit. Death was his only freedom.

Tunnel is way better than Signal, which is one overrated drama if you ask me.

The Guest is not scary, try it out. It's very intriguing and captivating.

Baffling how you don't seem to read replies properly because I never said this is a mediocre drama. I said it's not comparable to the Guest because entirely different types of drama.

Episode 13 reminded me of the reasons why I hate kids. They're very annoying and are a big nuisance. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ smh that kid ruined everything.

And as expected, the police Chief killed Jeongyong. That was predictable, but still so satisfying to see his downfall. Han-ul wins MVP for this episode for me due to his work!

I'm seriously dying to know why that assistant is helping the ahole who killed her friend smh she's just as complicit as him in this and should be jailed alongside him. If they portray her as a victim as well, I'mma slapping the writer!
