I hope everyone noticed the little gay sex joke James inserted in episode 9. "He doesn't drive a stick, does he?" - nice to see how open minded the writer/director of this show is! Will definitely look towards their work in the future.
Samsung high end phones. So far I've noticed many characters use: 1. Galaxy Note 20 (Mijoo has it) 2. Galaxy Flip (Seongyeom, Young Il and Seongyeom's mum are using it from what I've noticed) 3. Galaxy Fold 2 (Dan Ah has one).
Almost any Kdramas will exclusively use these phones btw you'll notice the Flip, Fold/Fold 2, Note 20, S20 Ultra in almost every Kdrama since early 2020s.
He's from ZE:A. Check them out. They have really good songs. The group has 3 popular actors - Hyungshik (Visual, Main Vocalist), Siwan (Visual, Sub-vocalist) and Kim Dongjun (Main Vocalist, Maknae).
I'd highly recommend you check out their song Ghost Of Wind and All Day Long.
OMG IKR maybe 50 episodes?? 30 can do too...How about 20??? AHHHHHH I CANT GET ENOUGH. Imma have to keep re-watching…
No they can't decide that "easily". For one the show's not doing so well in SK, and is not topping trending charts on Netflix either. Netflix also doesn't cover the production cost as it is not a Netflix original show. It's a JTBC show and Netflix only has the licensing rights for international airing. The chances for a S2 is slim to none as it is right now.
i love that the LGBTQ+ characters just are. like their sexuality isn't the focus of their character - this is…
Agreed. They don't make a big deal over it, like it just is. It's completely normal and not out of the ordinary. I'm a bisexual guy myself, who's been with more men than women, so it feels such a nice change to see something like this.
I've changed my mind. This has become such a good drama, very laidback and chill. Not everyone's cup of tea but is right up my alley.
One of the best thing about this imo is that it's one of the most progressive kdrama I've actually seen. After 2018's Be Melodramatic and Love with Flaws, I've personally not witnessed any progressive Kdramas until this. I like how they infused non-binary and LGBQT elements into this. While they're not the main topic, it's still nice to see progress.
I love the repartee between the characters too. It's rare to see such natural banters between characters in Kdramas tbh but this one has nailed it.
Honestly the tags aren't more meaningful: most of the time "strong female lead" is a story about a dimwit falling…
I was referring to trope specific tags like "Younger man/Older woman" or "Poor Male Lead"/"Rich Female Lead" etc. These tags have helped me find dramas with tropes I wanna watch. Agreed about tags like "Strong Female Lead", usually they're a huge miss.
MDL ratings for me are a horrendous spectrum. I have watched most of the highest rated dramas here -> CLOY, Goblin, the Untamed etc. and most of them are mediocre at best. I've also seen some modestly rated dramas here and they're far better than the better rated dramas.
So I'd say, IGNORE the ratings. They're incredibly inaccurate and completely irrelevant to the quality of the drama because of presence of fandoms. Dramas with popular stars always get an inflated rating just for their presence, there need not be any quality.
Watch what you want. Take a look at the tags, the cast and the synopsis. If it fits your taste, watch at least a few episodes and decide for yourself. Do not let anonymous votes deter you.
As a caveat, I'll note out that Horror movies generally generate much lower aggregates than other genres with even the best horror films generating at best 6-7 ratings. This paradigm is consistent not just on MDL, but also websites like imdb and traktv. It might throw off some people from this genre. So don't hesitate from giving them a try. You have to be wary of ratings when checking this genre out even more than the other genres.
Tutor-Fighter had a very clear top-bottom camaraderie imo I saw nothing verse about them, Tutor was a power bot through and through. The only couple that has given me verse vibe before in a Thai BL is Mork-Sun in Kiss series.
1. Into the Ring (aka Memorials) 2. Just Between Lover (aka Rain and Shine) 3. Diary of a Prosecutor 4. Beyond the Cloud 5. Be Melodramatic
No particular order. 5 of the best Kdramas I've seen. Periodt.
Also I did not like Chase the Ghost. I've been a huge MGY fan since Tale of Two Sister and a big fan of KSH as well, but Chase the Ghost was mediocre at best. I especially hated MGY's character, she's an impulsive wreck who is slap worthy (sorry not sorry).
BTW I died at the gay sex joke in Episode 9.
James: "You're cute, he's hot. He doesn't drive a stick, does he?"
Me: HAHA *dead*
