They were. Agreed. Seunghee was SO badly written as well, like her whole life revolved around Inho like the internal misogyny is just so obvious in this show.

A character being a plot device speaks at the writer's inability to create depth more than anything. It wasn't done on purpose, she literally didn't know what to do with his character midway through and it was very obvious esp at the end.

And from what we saw the writer CLEARLY WANTED that to happen as well. The producers and director prolly forced her to change the ending to please the fans because everyone wanted her to ditch the husband. But the writing from ep 10 onward CLEARLY showed that the writer was not going for her divorcing the husband whatsoever. The writer is clearly an ultra traditionalist who believe that a woman's role in society is being dedicated to her husband and family and have no identity of her own.

The writing REEKS of the internalised misogyny the writer seems to have, she went up and beyond to butcher the character of Dr Cha.

After she finds out about the affair, this drama turned into the worst drama I've seen in years.The writer absolutely didn't know what to do with the characters and it's very evident by the most random writing from ep 12-13 onward. If I could rate it below 1, I'd do it. It deserves negative rating.

The show basically gives a "Fuck you" to women, esp women have been cheated on. And the writing basically gives a free pass to the cheating husband who never treated his wife right, EVEN condemning her to death (ep 1). Like there's something deeply wrong with this writer I fear. And it deeply pisses me off, like I feel personally insulted and attacked. I wish I never watched this garbage. I wanna go back in time and stop myself from watching this just so I wouldn't feel this annoyed at this drama lmaoo

Nielsen ratings don't take OTT viewership into account so these ratings are only for household viewership. Honestly though, it wouldn't matter much because household ratings have remained steadily high for other massively hit shows despite airing on OTT as well.

Absolutely not. The recent episodes have been horribly written and just random garbage.

Putting this in context:

Doctor Romantic 3's ratings is not very high. It hasn't peaked beyond a 13.8% this season. Compared to this, Season 2 hit 18% JUST on the 2nd episode and the peak was 27% by the end whereas S1 hit 19% on the 6th episode and peaked to 27.6% at the end. This makes it actually a very average hit.

I don't blame the viewers though, the season is so far very very disappointing. It just doesn't have the same excitement or the shine as S1 and S2.

Absolutely 100% agreed. Tommy gives me Jade vibes WAY more than Yim. In fact when I read this, I envisioned Tommy as Jade. Mai is bit more complex, I think Tutor really suits Mai except for his height lol

Imo the only way to fix this show:
1. Retcon everything that happened in the Bed Friend TV series
2. Fire the editor and director of Bed Friend

The changes BF made negatively affects this show and the technical aspects of that show was abhorrent. The editing and direction was SO bad.

I'm watching it for romance and I'm getting none and instead am being force fed this shitty JH's storyline. Oh I'm pissed as well.

I might drop if they don't ditch JH's storyline by next week. I cannot stand that asshole and it pisses the fk out of me that KS is relegated to the supporting character to that ahole's storyline.

You'll pull your hair off as you keep watching. I did the same. The beginning is sooo good. But then as it keeps going, it spirals into the typical "traditional values" BS. Spoilers: but rn the cheating shithead husband is trying to win over Doctor Cha OUT OF NOWHERE despite everything he did to her (he hasn't done a SINGLE nice thing for her till now and has always been neglectful and terrible to her) and from the direction the show is going, she might just forgive him despite everything. The writer is obvly a conservative asshole who believes a nuclear family is a must.

Forgot attraction, they don'teven have any screentime together most episode. T__T I'm pretty sure we've had 15-20 mins of interaction between the two tops.
