Hm, they resolved Waan and his dad’s issues on-screen though? Did you watch a cut version?
I don't see why they would either. So here's what was in the IQIYI version just in case: Waan comes home from hospital. Mom hugs him. He looks to the father who stays silent. Waan moves to go and rest in his room. His father says sorry. And then proceeds to list everything he's sorry for. Waan and father hug. Waan asks about the distant offices, father says it was just a threat and he doesnt have to, Waan says he wants to go there anyway.
Put simply: Poi claimed that Build plagiarized her work for 4 Minutes. And when people started turning against her after his unauthorized speech on the matter, she started claiming that her and Build have been in a relationship for the past several years in which he abused, manipulated, and used her - a trend that he's had with past girlfriends as well (according to her). Fans and haters of both of them are now throwing stones at each other. And Be On Cloud has put Build on hiatus as they investigate all these claims.
But, disclaimer, this tumblr writer glazes over the reasons why Poi's allegations are sus as well: previous accusations against her about grooming, sexual harassment, and general obsession with the KP artists; the timing of it all; the fact that she took to social media first despite having the means to take it to the courts (at best, unprofessional. at worst, the latest addition to a worldwide trend that has spurred many an innocent into irreparable social/career damage as a result of slander); and the use of stock images in her allegations without disclaiming them as such to begin with (just downright unethical and inappropriate, wtf).
But it's all being investigated. We'll know the truth down the road afterwards.
Im just here for the tea y’all 🍵can anyone put me on? Why are all of these Thai bl actors always caught up…
Part of it is because the BL community is surrounded by toxic stans and toxic anti-fans (sometimes the same person being a toxic stan of one actor, and being a toxic anti-fan of another). Boundaries do not matter to either party - as they've proven time and time again. And it's not just surrounding the actors. You see it around and in authors, screenwriters, directors, and managers too.
Also, BL is relatively easy to get into compared to other genres in entertainment. It's why most BL actors are newbies, or have only worked in BLs. So they're not exactly very screened. Nor do they seem to know what being famous all entails.
What build has been accused of (shortened)- stealing the plot for the '4 Minutes' series (from KP writer, Poi)-…
I generally agree with what you are saying. Except for one thing "I'll believe the victim until proven otherwise." This is the exact logic that made it where so many countries needed an "innocent until proven guilty" clause. It's the same logic that has applied to so many tragedies throughout history. By all means, take her claims seriously and don't dismiss her completely, but don't blindly trust her. There's a lot of suspect things going on here. And we've seen numerous cases worldwide of similar claims that were proven false but have been near impossible to come back from.
Thank you for the link though. Everyone is scrambling for information - often that contradicts each other due to people lying and having different results on behalf of their algorithms. But it does seem like the post author is leaning a certain direction in this case as well, as they point clearly to all reasons Build is sus, but glaze over the reasons why Poi is.
Yeaaaah... For those who still think its WinTeam and don't believe that P'New completely erased their dynamics…
Several of the characters feel like theyre off to some degree from the characters we know even without having read the books. I was saying it in the first several episodes that Manaow didn't quite feel like Manaow (until this episode that is). And I am so glad that you pointed out the WinTeam dynamic not feeling true to who they have been (even just from the beginning few episodes of this drama alone).
It doesn't help that they're rewriting the scenes we know of them from UWMA, and leaving others out entirely so that non UWMA viewers are probably like "is that some sort of inside joke or something?" And it seems like Between Us is using Team's trauma as a replacement for the other facets of his persona that he had in UWMA.
That is the power of Sammy for you. She's a spotlight stealer.
Yea, she does that quite often (but so do a lot of Thailand actors, it seems to be a popular form). And her characters aren't very different from each other or her social media/interview persona. So there's definitely room for criticism. But she can be fun to watch. And the scene in episode 11 had a lot of relatability to it. I like her, but I can see why others wouldn't.
I agree with all of this. WinTeam just felt repetitive and kinda whiny in this story. Especially since their main…
Prem in My Only 12% was *chef's kiss*, but even in UWMA and 7 Project, the characters' immaturity were relatively balanced out. In this drama, it feels too constant for the character's age.
Glad Fluke kept his Alpha throne. I hope this performance gets him more votes. As much as I love watching him perform, I don't want him to keep going into the stand-off. It could have been 50/50 about Lego and Hong. But ultimately Lego's dancing was stand-out enough to save him. But this will definitely serve as a reminder to keep pushing forward and not sit on his laurels. Lego's crying is so contagious. You'd think he was eliminated based on how he was bringing everyone to the verge of tears (chiefly myself, but I did see Off and several of the contestants doing the same).
Part 2: Fluke's performance: I love his voice here. His facial expressions felt too forced at several points though. It was a compelling performance though.
Part 3: Hong's performance: I don't like this song. It's a different taste to the usual songs we hear on this show though - so I can understand why others might really like it. The flashing lights made it where I couldn't really watch the performance itself, but i liked the dance solo. Very cool.
Part 4: Lego's Performance: Lol. I don't know if it's a farce or not, but Lego is definitely selling that he's been itching to perform. Can't say I blame him either. HEY. This song and performance reminds of something that we would see in some of the US dance films (the Step Up franchise or High Strung Free Dance for instance). Did Jenny really just pull out a plunger!? 💀💀😂
Part 5: Special Performance (William, Nut, PeemPeem, Otto, Nicky, and Deaw) ... The lights and screens made this song seem like it was for a children's show. It was hard to look at this seriously. That said, some of the performers found ways to shine in this one (Nut for instance). But others lacked stage presence. This one didn't hold me at all.
8.2 stars? Is this really good? Like, good story and good acting? If I'm being honest, I'm not attracted to the…
Good story. Lazy writing. Acting is pretty good, especially in latter half. BounPrem is quite popular, and it's mostly fans that watch while dramas are airing, so the rating will probably go down when the binge watchers get ahold of it.
It's nowhere near the worst BL, so it's probably worth a shot.
Part 1: Yay. Some of my favorites are sitting in as guests for this episode. And it probably helps that they already have a dynamic with each other (at least in the case of Off, Gun, and Jenny anyway). Lol. Off already has a favorite it seems.
Alpha x Beta Show. Still love the song. But I feel like the performance was quite low in energy. Like they're preserving their energy for their later, competitive performances. Most of the focus was more on their vocals (which were very good and well-matched). And they were pretty solidly synced, so it was still a good performance.
Part 1: Oh man. The grin i had on my face when he said GMMTV artists will be in the audience! So excited! Ooooh. I know them all, either by sight or by name. 🥰 ah that reminds, i need to watch the special episode.
Alpha Performance: Lol. It sounds like the kind of music i was listening to in the early 2000s! Very pop rock. 😂🥰 and they feel very cohesive/united. The performance was fun too, but i couldnt keep my eyes on it for too long because of the lights.
Beta S4 (Champ, Peempeem, Otto, Kop) Got a varsity jacket style swag in this one i see. The dancing is so spot on for the vibe and synchronized with each other. That camera spin transition was so fun too! But the judge does have a point, i didnt feel like they were consistently enjoying the performance while performing, but when they did, i was all in. Its rare for me to find a competition music show where i agree so much with the judges every week. I like it.
Part 2: Beta S1 (Deaw, Music, Aungpao, Phat): Their voices clashed on occasion. I liked their facial expressions though. And i tend to like chair prop choreography. I definitely say this performance had swag though. 😂 That was fun.
“Are you biased?” “A bit” 🤣🤣 Aww. I like that they focused on team building like they did.
Part 3: Beta S2 (Ashi, Prom, Korn, Tui) Their aesthetic is kinda pirate-y in this one. It’s visually intriguing. But i wonder one of them has a base color of red, rather than white. A bit of a mismatch. Ooooh. I like this song. Ill have to look it up after this. The choreography is pretty and interesting, but not really swaggy in my opinion. I like their chemistry together as a group though.
Part 4: Beta S3 (Keen, Nicky, Hong, Time) I cant seem to understand this aesthetic. Its like 2 sets of 2. Not a cohesive look imo. “… and audacity” 😂 Oh this one got me from the START! Had me jamming and smiling. Time took me OUT at 2:32. Omg. 🤣 I kept replaying that moment. I kinda want to watch this one live in-person. Favorite performance thus far.
Ohm is awestruck. Lmao. “Maybe the judges disagree” -> “Fantastic” 😂
Part 5: Lol. I love how they all jam out to the intro tune. Its always so heartbreaking to see their fellow competitors breaking down on the sidelines 😭 And you can tell how genuine alot of it is. 😭
Part 6: I love the alphas’ responses. So much personality in them. 👌 Especially Lego’s. Still cant believe Fluke has the least amount of votes among the alphas.
I am so looking forward to next episode’s performances!!
