Fascinating drama, good leads, Soo-bin looks pretty with her hair style, on Netflix, will watch. Netflix is writing Korean names with its own phonetic romanisations recently, last thing we need is yet another form. Annoying, but I can ignore it. An example from a different drama "Hae-e" for 'stupid' foreigners, should be "Hae-yi" or "Hae-i".
Why would an excellent actress choose to prop up a piece of wood? She lost weight for her last drama, which made her look too much older than her co-star. Jong-suk was a plank of wood in his last fantasy drama and even when paired with a great actress, it was awful. I know W has a lot of fans, hence I forced myself to watch it and thought it was terrible - bad acting and failure to suspend disbelief, I really tried to like it.
🤢I could tolerate 15 minutes. Why does that lead guy look like he's leaning in for a kiss with every character he talks to? I put this one in the 'made by dummies' category.
damn there are a ton of ableists in this chat. Not surprising though since using disabled people for entertainment…
You're an attention seeker. Have you ever considered that when people call you a snowflake and ask you to stfu, it's got nothing to do with your disability - they just don't like you?
by miserable losers do you mean disabled people because that's what you're saying
I knew you wouldn't understand. You're pretending to speak on behalf of the largest group possible by using the word 'disabled' when you mean 'deaf'. Straight from the virtue-signallers' manual. If you can find a deaf person that was offended, I'll find 2 that that thought it was funny, and 2 more that liked the fact their world was recognised by a drama. Have you ever seen a joke where a spoken sentence was cut off at a funny moment? There's only an issue if people like you manufacture one with the intent of appearing morally superior - not everything's about you, just watch like the rest of us, if you don't like something, don't watch it.
It won't. South Koreans aren't new to political instability. I wouldn't be surprised if this whole thing is over…
It's already changed my opinion. From a highly respected, sophisticated democracy to the tyranny of the past. It takes many years to cultivate respect and just 6 hours to tear it all down. I wonder if it's just me then.
by miserable losers do you mean disabled people because that's what you're saying
Ha ha, no. You're virtue-signalling right there. You're announcing your presumed moral superiority over me. Of course I'm not calling *deaf* people miserable losers, whoever believes that, or calls deaf people disabled, is mistaken.
Nice, happy drama with 2 great leads and an entertaining story. I think the writer must be a novice, it flounders at times. There's one cast member who I'm certain is not a professional actor and who gets too much screen time to handle - the only off-putting thing.
"it will set it back decades."Take it easy, man. They impeached a president not even 10 years ago and it didn't…
He wasn't impeached but he's got nowhere to turn, I'm sure his party promised not to impeach him only if he resigned immediately. However... resorting to martial law sends jitters - the #1 concern of foreign investors is stability. Like words that can't be unsaid, sights that can't be unseen, lifting martial law does nothing to alleviate those jitters.
It's not a good look for SK, it will set it back decades. Since the movie business is successful, it will be hit, along with the stocks of all SK international companies and gov. bonds. Government instability will have investors running.
I put this one in the 'made by dummies' category.
2. learn what words mean
3. Save the history lesson, esp. when you don't know, see point 1.
