What the hell.. 'Ascending, Do Not Disturb' got a drama adaptation!!??

I was totally out of loop with this one. The novel was really really good. Definitely giving this a try.

I'm just really glad they gave us their pre-marriage jianghu flashbacks properly in the drama. 😍

The novel actually opens with THE dramas... and it was straight up roller coaster from there. lol

Their days prior to their marriage was in flashback iirc. From the looks of the drama synopsis and trailer, they seemed to make it linear.

Based on the trailer, are we gonna see their Jianghu days? I hope we do because that was always on my mind while reading the novel.

Seriously, I really didn't expect it to be that much spicy because there was no tags indicating so on novelupdates page.

I recently finished the novel. Pretty excited for the drama because Emperor ML and Official FL pair is not that common.

The trailer has scenes not included in the novel, so I'm sure there are changes. I won't keep my hope too high, as long as they keep the core dynamic, I would be happy enough. Burnt there too many times haha

Finished the novel. It was an interesting dynamic between the leads.

The blurb was not exaggerating, she really uses any means to climb higher, with a single goal, 'him'. haha

Trailer looks a bit different from the source material though, seems there gonna be changes. Anyhow, looking forward to watch this on screen.

Now I know what I'm gonna read this weekend. Hoping it's a good one.

I'm at ep4. There is nothing of that sort so far.

For me, it's a mixed feeling. There were both good and questionable moments. If you want to try a few episodes, I suggest to watch at least until ep3 and judge by then.

I believe he's supposed to be a youth who has yet to mature, sometimes childish even. He's the youngest and his family dote on him. I think Ding Yuxi is portraying his character very well here.

tldr: He somewhat does, but it doesn't matter anymore by that point.

After FL left him for good, yeah, he became soft toward her with regrets, but it was too late by then.

They were estranged for like nearly 2 decades because FL doesn't want anything to do with him anymore.

They'll change it in the drama, no worries. Even the main plot is different. But yeah, the novel ML is a jerk. 😂

It's the antidote to the poison that gives/removes spirit veins. They have to be taken in pair, and without the antidote, it's certain death.

Spirit veins are something ppl born with naturally. This poison can artifically create it, so ppl knowingly want to take it. So, they need the antidote, Golden Millet Dream.

Ming Yi's case was the reverse from above. She was born with spirit veins, so the poison removes it. So, she looks for the Golden Millet Dream to survive and fix her spirit veins.

ML is a black flag womanizing bastard, does all the despicable stuffs you can imagine to FL. Manipulation, intimidation, coercing, abuse, force himself on her... hell, FL's response toward him for more than half of the story was 'fear'. Even in today's trailer, we can see hints of it. They'll definitely tone him down for sure.

Main story really picks up only after ep 5-6. So, give it a try till then if you feel like it.

It's 36 episodes total, not 32.

Ha ha, that's fair. I often do not watch as well.

But, for the popular ongoing ones I'm following, I watch the previews just to counter the spoilers on my social media feeds... I would rather spoil myself than got sneak attacked spoiled while doom scrolling 😂
