I'm at 376/523. So far, no, WTY and DM's marital life is not looking good. DZ and DM are very bitter toward each other as well. Jealousy toward DZ took her over basically.

But, we gotta watch and see whether the drama will make changes or adapt it as it is.

I'm only about 2/3 into the novel, but Wei Tingyu and Dou Ming are falling out hard already. Not sure the drama will adapt it as it is.

She has knowledge of the future events, sure. But, she doesn't have full knowledge of all events. She only know what she experienced and heard.

In her past life, she had an entirely different social cycle, and only crossed path with SM just before their deaths. So, she only got superficial info on SM. Even SM himself doesn't know the cause of his mother's death, why would DZ have detailed info on her cause of death let alone prevent her death in their second life.

The best she could do was preventing SM from falling into despair and leading the path he took before, which she did time and time again throughout the drama.

I feel you there ahaha. We likely won't get disappointed in that regards though. In the novel, post marriage era SM and DZ are a very loving and affectionate couple.

By the looks of the on-screen chemistry of the leads in the drama, they gonna serve hardddd.

As another comment pointed out, women of that time do not have a say in their marriage. You can see DZ's stepmom and uncle went ahead and signed the marriage contract on their own, and that was completely proper and within their rights. So, DZ is bound by a lot of social norms and values, and one of the core plots of this drama is DZ trying to break free from it.

Also, you gotta understand DZ's character. She is very strategic, patient, and scheming. Most of the thing she does were well calculated even before taking the first step. Her acting weak we've seen so far also is a calculated move. She is carefully navigating towards her goal within the social boundaries. She can of course technically use the more heavy handed approach like running away, cutting ties with her family, etc., but that's not her character.

Same lol. I do not find Blossom angsty at all. It's very tame in angst department compared to a lot of Xianxia. We just get used to it...

Regular shows can no longer infuriate me that much after watching Love & Redemption. Poor ML took the L for like 95% of the drama. 🥲

Well said lol. We only got 15 episodes after their marriage for SM and DZ to become lovey dovey and put down the baddies, and I so do not want to explore the Uncle's story lmao

I would hate to see Princess Ningde not appearing though. I love her in how she's a team DZ.

imo, this is just the right amount of slow burn, which makes sense with the plot progression as well.

Their wedding supposedly coming in ep 18 and 19 (this Saturday). The actual romance follows suit shortly after that in the novel.

In the Drama, DZ = 23, SM = should be 22

In the Novel, DZ = 17, SM = 16

I think marriage is on Saturday (ep 18 & 19) with double episodes to cover the entire wedding preparation and the actual wedding. They probably intentionally aired extra episode today to line it up like that.

Ep 16/17 trailers also didn't hint SM and DZ's wedding. FL is in wedding attire in the trailer, but looks like s**t is hitting the fan.
