I hate to say this but it is most likely him. Most 7 or Melon accounts have him as the ML. He looks a bit old next to 7 imo. That's 1 of the issues I also had with the drama I saw him with Tang Wei. She is older than him but he looked way older than her.

Thankfully it is not romance focused (I would really have a problem with him as the ML if it was 😬😬 ) and the drama is focused on her arc, growth, entrepreneurship and female friendships.
They're a lot of good looking actors who are amazing actors but they're most likely traffic actors...and some of them would love to be part of a Team like this one that had prestigious works in the past. However, the director is renowned for not liking a lot of traffic actors for his projects so this ML is actually the perfect casting for him 😅😅.

I agree about his looks too 🙈🙈😅. I only checked it out bc of Tang Wei and it was a Female centric drama in the Tang dynasty; actually based on real historical events but I dropped that drama bc of him 😅😅😅. I just couldn't stand his character and he was the ML so yeah no 😬
Currently watching it and what a hidden masterpiece. It is so Good. And the Fashion...the fashion ughhhh obsessed !!! I also find the crimes that they solve every 2 episodes so interesting.
If I have a criticism is that I wished they didnt introduce the storyline of her adopting that girl from the orphanage from episode 1/2. The FL is a good person and would make a great mother (and is rich enough that it is not an issue) but I dont think having an older kid at this stage of her life made sense. And It bothered me how the " adoption " happened in episodes 1/2 and we never heard or saw that kid again until episode 19/20. A plot hole ; it doesnt distract from the rest of the series but I kept wondering where is that kid? especially since she is at her house so often solving these crimes.
Currently at episode 20 when we say goodbye to her adopted daughter (because she choose to stay with her biological mother).I understand but that was sad.

Well it depends. Like some people already said here, if you have strong backing or if you're firmly established in the industry, stuff like this dont usually happen to you. It is because he doesnt seem to have a strong agency or backing and he is not firmly established yet as an actor (like some of the very, very famous C actors but he is getting there). The more famous, established he gets, the less things like this will happen. Well I dont put too much trust in his company; I think that only his hardwork will continue to pay off. He had a stellar year so far; with so many endorsements and his dramas did well so it can only go up from here.

I hate to break it to you but the same situation will happen...especially in a YZ drama. 5 sml and they are from her company ? Yeah it is mostly to promote them which means that his arc or screentime will not be befitting of a ML.

I lowkey expected this to happen when I saw such a big ensemble cast. I have seen it happen with some up and coming actors who are popular. The drama using them to promote others (and this is not a shade to other actors btw). Like how do you explain someone who is supposed to be a Male Lead getting less scenes than the 2nd,3rd lead....Ive seen it happen.
Him cooperating with traffic flowers doesnt necessarily guarantee a good treatment either because by virtue of being 1st billed will have more scenes than him anyways.
It is unfortunate but at the end of the day he still did very well. The more successful projects he will get, the more say he will have into things like this.
FOF is currently at 8.8 here . Huge. So happy for him :). He had a great year (even Dashing Youth did well ) except the messiness of Divas hit the road .

I don't like Wang Kai 😬😬😬. I love Wallace. I've watched a couple of his dramas 🙂🙂. I was looking forward to his other drama Emperor's of love but because of the FL scandal it has been cancelled 🫤🫤. I wish she would work with Wallace again in the future or Allen Ren.
