I just read the new developments; maybe the future of this drama is not so bleak after all. I have some hope. They should do what the Story of Kunning Palace production team did last year. Their 3rd male lead was involved in another scandal as well (I cant remember for what exactly) . They just removed him from ALL the promotions the cast did after (even though he kind of played a significant role and had a lot of interactions with the FL) .The cast promoted the show so much but he was nowhere to be seen (except for the one they filmed a year prior) . They aired the drama and it was 1 of the most successful C dramas last year. Brocade Odyssey should do the same. It would be ridiculous to shelve this drama for something a supporting actor did. I can understand if it was 1 of the main leads but it is not. All that money, investment, many people's hard work down the drain for a more or less minor character? Cmon now.
I dont think Brocade will be shelved or delayed for years. The lawsuits he mentioned that can take years are cases…
I think that they should proceed like Story of Kunning Palace 3rd male lead last year (lol the irony that it was the 3rd male lead as well). He had a "scandal" last year too, I cant remember for what exactly but they choose to broadcast the drama and did NOT include him in ANY promotions at all. He was absent in all the promotions they did for the drama. This team should do the same.
Posting here because it relates to Seven and well TV ratings in general for C actors on the men and women side . Let's see if ABAY will win the Hunan TV/Mango TV crown at the end of the year( Fingers crossed) There are still a lot of great dramas to be released this year but I hope she can get that annual TV rating crown for the 3rd time. I dont mean to be shady but I am a bit surprised that Jing Boran is n4 on that list on the Men side (I know that he is a great actor so good for him) ; I wonder if it is because of Road Home ; if I am not mistaken it won Hunan TV annual crown last year or because of that drama with Song Wei Long . That male list in intriguing ; it looks like it is the most seasoned and veterans actors at the top of CVB TV ratings and good for them. Yang Yang n8.
I think abay and bce are both S+ production as far as i know when the casts were announced.
Not all modern dramas look like this. It's 1 of the recent ones I've seen where I can actually tell that a lot of money was spent on it. Also with some modern C dramas you can usually tell that the budget was just not there or just ok.
Any new show on the way ? There is nothing to watch these days I turned back to hidden love for time pass π
I have been watching Japanese dramas these days lol. Lots of good shows this year. Unfortunately unlike Chinese or Korean dramas you sometimes have to wait for a while for subtitles π π π .
Was ABAY a S or S+ production? How about BCE? Does anyone know? I'm curious. It seems to me that the only expensive…
I'm pretty sure ABAY is S+ . Everytime I rewatch it , I just marvel at the Budget ππ. Han Ting office. His grandpa house. Dongyang base in "Germany ". I could go on . .this drama screams money π°π°π°
i donβt know if it resulted from the recent fight in China between his fans and BLβs fa
Oh that's what was going on. I saw a thread about him trending on X the other day about the various misinformations people have made about him over the years and I was like ....what happened now π ?
#5 is war of faith with wang yi bo#6 Always on the move (2024) with Bai Jingting
Seven dramas are always picked up by a lot of countries ( Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan....) , XK as well so I'm pretty sure that we'll gradually see more countries pick it up over the next few months. ABAY isn't even 2 month old lol . As far as streaming platforms like Netflix and Disney, I feel like it's more up to the Network ( Tencent)....who knows how these things work BTS.

The double did well and good for them but I think that it also has to do with the fact that I think that Youku dramas have some sort of partnership with Netflix. Even princess Royal is now there as well. Legend of Anle...Lusi 's drama.....I bet you that kill me love me ( Youku drama)with the FL of the double that is rumoured to air next month, will be on Netflix as well once it is over.
Tencent need to get on whatever they have going on lol.
Best CEO secretary award go to Tang Song πππ. The best wingman too π€£π€£. Lol at him telling ji Xing that Dahuang was waiting for her at the door π€£.
They break up at episode 31 and start to get back together at episode 34. This is 1 of the things I loved about this drama. 1- the breakup was actually necessary and justified for once 2- they didn't drag it for 10, 15 episodes like I see in some dramas π π 3- once they reconciled, they gave us so much lovey dovey moments between between the leads β€οΈβ€οΈand we got like 5 more episodes and an extra one and the drama ended.
Oh Lord...what now? I didnt hear anything about the 2nd male lead. Just the 3rd ML. I am so annoyed. This was…
I hope so. This is the 3rd male lead issue; they should just re-cast another actor for his scenes. The main leads have nothing to do with this and not to mention the other cast and all the people that work BTS. Why let people hard work for months and the resources that were put into this drama go to waste because of a supporting actor?
