Many people asked for recommendation "what to watch after L&R", I'm currently watching "The Rise of Phoenixes" and really like it! Not in addiction how it was in September with L&R, but still))) This drama is not new - was translated in 2018 and you might already watched it, but if not, then I would recommend to give a chance:)

I dropped AoL two times, I dislike female lead (the worst FL ever, really dumb, who was not able to defend herself or her love), love triangle (annoying one) and lot of unnessesary and not interesting side characters (boring to watch). I also didn't get when and why ML felt in love with FL, it's just happened in one click without proper development. Their love story is not something to remember for me. I don't think the plots are similar either. Only one good think in AOL - soundtrack, I like it. IMAO
What episode are you on now, and is it still good? I’ve been having the HARDEST time finding good C-dramas lately.
I'm on 11 and put it on hold... dunno....it's still okay, but I'm not hooked I expected complicated political intrigues and interesting characters, but as of now it's quite predictable, the antagonists look like the clowns, protagonists are okay, but again nothing special, not unique... Anyway I think you should give a chance, because 9 of 10 people like it))

yeah, I've read somewhere about Yan Ran, I agree, I would prefer pet form only, because her human form was meaningless in the story. And let's be honest often annoying. About XJ's mother death in tv adaptation I'm okay, I like drama moments and sometimes even misunderstanding (unpopular opinion). If there are not abuser, unhealthy relationship. betrayal, revenge - I'm absolutely fine with the conflicts and drama for more drama))) E.g. in Love O2O was the most calm love story without anything. Just romantic moment. And... oh, gosh... how it was boring)

I'm okay to discuss about the drama, we with girls also have found a few "rooms for improvement" while watching. The thing is that you post the comments with negative context only and never done it in a balance feedback way, like: there are some nice things, there are some questionable moments, e.g... I wouldn't say it offends or something, I would say "let's bring more positive in our life" :)
many comments say sifeng is very manly and strong but from the beginning of the story to ep.31 I have seen him…
For most viewers "being strong" means combination of physical and mental characteristics, ability to make decisions, to take responsibility, to take a stay and be a leader. Sifeng is the such unique type of ML who completely trust to FL and never betrayed. And the unique type of ML who never got revenge on someone and never asked to be thanked when help to someone. That's why people respect and love this character. And yes, this drama is "and the winner is love", thankfully for us :) It will be till the end and Sifeng will continue protect XJ and his clan risking his life. I see that you complain about this or that, often "frustrated" or "shocked"... I don't know, may be better to stop watching and find another drama with your type of plot and ML?..
