I think I'm one of them🤣🤣🤣

I refrained from reading the novel first (maybe after this drama is over, I'll start reading). Because even though it can be said that it comes from the same basic ingredients, with different processing methods, different points of view from different people, and different presentations, it will definitely produce a masterpiece that is not the same. Some people may like to enjoy steak with soup together, but I prefer to enjoy it 'serving one by one'.

I also hope that Lusi and Lei will do a drama/movie project in pairs again, hopefully next year🙏😣 (aameen)

Just same to me, this drama has amazing detail in every aspect, that's what keeps it interesting to dig deeper.

I also feel that this is where the uniqueness of this drama is. From this drama, briefly, I can only conclude that family and environment are actually the basic foundation for the formation of an individual's character. The main point of the formation of a person is affection, attention, good role model. The right parenting method will help the child's personality to be well formed. Good parenting is the key to protecting children from a bad environment.

Basically God created humans as honorable creatures, humans were created with The mind, The Brain, and The Soul. Although not everyone is lucky to have a warm family or a good environment when growing up, but when humans are able to use their natural potential (The Mind, The Brain an The Soul), they can use it to make choices. To continue to grow, or stagnate to be confined in a shell. Humans are not constant.

"Character is personality evaluated, and personality is character devaluated" (Allpor, 1937).
A person's personality and character are the result of the interaction between that person's self, life experiences and the surrounding environment. Therefore, personality can change. While individual character, can be formed. Please underline, of course with a process that is not easy and complex, it cannot be instant coz what has been formed is a process of dozens or decades. As with the characters in this, I watched them develop, in a process that seemed natural. For example;

NiaoNiao: I saw her character begin to develop since she was in the care of her third aunt and uncle, interacted with the caring Ah You, and faced the situation of Hua County.

Ah Yao: This character begins to develop since he interacts with NiaoNiao, often exchanging ideas with the third uncle. Here, Ah Yao's character becomes bolder in opinion, dares to dream, even HZJ himself admits that the relationship between him and Ah Yao for decades is not comparable to the relationship between NiaoNiao and Ah Yao, which has only been around for a few months. Ah Yao's character has also become more mature.

Wang Lin: This character developed after facing a crushing blow, wherein his entire family was punished by the emperor. She made the decision to change, looking at things from a better perspective.

Ling Bu Yi: His character has developed after getting to know NiaoNiao, although a little (this may be coz the initial personality and character-forming factors were traumatic, which was very dark and strong. Like 'wounds' some can heal as before, but some will lasting for life).

I still wish the best for this man. Hopefully the character development of this role will be better and make all parties happy.

Finally, the Typo in Cast&Crew section where the name of the character played by Leo Wu from Ling Bu Yi / Zi Zi Sheng has been fixed to Ling Bu Yi / Zi Sheng.

But, why does the Fictional Character page still contain the same typo and several other mistake?

How if, as suggested by the cast of LY? CSS being the male side, let the four of them live together. While LBY and CSS go to the battlefield, YS will teach their children, then LY will make the child happy. 🤣🤣🤣

This is what I like about this drama, it's very detailed here and there. Even every character has their background -not just ML and FL- in the formation of their character. The story of each character is like a story in a story. Very human, lively and real.
Likewise with the character YS. I think this character is very unique but ironic.

The couple usually use red coz it is linked to love, success, happiness, prosperity, luck, fertility, honor, and loyalty. Then pink, however, are welcome as they signal new life and happiness.

Meanwhile, at weddings, the dominant colors are red and gold. Gold here is a symbol of wealth.

I tried not to continue the novel, only the early chapters. so, i dont have any idea about it. But from the previous episode didn't Ban Jia often visit the Cheng residence for Yang Yang?

To a family clan, marriage is an embellishment. To the women, marriage is to climb up the ranks. But from what i witness since young, marriage is putting up wit each other. I, Yuan Shanjian, would never do anything that brings no benefit to me. ~Yuan Shanjian

I actually feel a little sorry for this Yuan Shen character. As a child, from birth he grew up dealing with his parents living like strangers and not talking to each other. Even his mother tends not to care much for this son. I feel this character grows up without parental love and with unhappiness in his heart.

Psychologically, children who grow up without the figure of 'parental harmony' and the warmth of affection from both of them tend to have difficulty listening to the interlocutor and expressing positive feelings.
The impact of this lack of affection from a young age not only makes it difficult to interact and establish positive relationships with others. They also become more prone to being trapped in abusive relationships because since childhood they were not given the example and standards of healthy relationships from their parents. Children who face neglect by their parents or if their parents do not provide them with consistent love and support throughout their growing years, then their personality will grow up feeling that the world is an insecure place.

They will also find it difficult to trust others, even in close relationships, such as friendships or even more intimate relationships, because of their fear of loss and abandonment.

Here I observe that Yuan Shen's interest in NiaoNiao was originated from NiaoNiao's spontaneous rejection and abandonment when he threw the hydrangea at the girl. And after that I saw more and more NiaoNiao's openly ignoring and rejecting Yuan Shen which seemed to make this man subconsciously more attracted to her. e.g:

‌When have i ever asked u to marry me? When did i ever say i want to marry you?? ~CSS (ep.7)

‌Don't worry. I won't ask u to rebel, or act in bad faith. Moreover i won't let u marry me. Since it's settled, w should bid farewell. ~CSS (ep.8)

‌Why would i feel shy, when i don't want to marry you!??~CSS (ep.8)

‌"You can take your time picking your new bride. Take your time, we'll take our leave. " ~CSS (ep.8)

Not only that, NiaoNiao was even more interested in getting engaged to another man who was younger than Yuan Shen, and not even better than the 'perfect' Yuan Shen figure.

The question is why this man could be attracted to NiaoNiao who had clearly rejected and neglected him?
While almost all the girls around him adore and chase him.

My guess is that coz his felt this rejection and abandonment of NiaoNiao as if the most important woman in his life had done all these years, which was his own mother. Perhaps the more NiaoNiao abandonment him, the more it made this girl resemble to his mother (In terms of treating him).

Next question; If Yuan Shen was really interested in NiaoNiao, then why did he always 'say things in a negative way' and cynically towards that girl?

I think it's more coz he really wants to get this girl's attention, but the tendency is that he's not able to build a positive emotional connection. When he tried to attract NiaoNiao's attention with his elegance, cleverness, even his fame which was trending in that era, a person like NiaoNiao didn't even glare or turn her head to glance at him. Therefore Yuan Shen always used abusive (mostly in verbal) methods to show his superiority, trying to put NiaoNiao in an inferior position in his attempt to intimidate and dominate NiaoNiao. But as we all saw together, NiaoNiao always tends to be more shrewd and not 'give about it' - This girl pushed back against Yuan Shen with more striking words. Not even pay any attention to him and walk away (poor Yuan Shen, perhas he needs to get a doctorate in romance. At least don't go to the same tutor as Huan Fu. 😝😝).

Other questions; Will this character develop?

Honestly I'm still blank about it, but I hope that someday he realizes his mistake in the way he judges and treats NiaoNiao. And I also hope that in the end Yuan Shen will understand that life in this world is not always about gain and loss, sincerity exists and is real. My last hope for Yuan Shen's character is for him to no longer use his parents' household situation as a role model to see the meaning of love and a relationship.

However, this all discourse only comes from my personal point of view. For other dramlov friends who understand more, or have other opinions, I hope you can share it with me too.❤

Yes, I sometimes feel like Sherlock Holmes when dealing with a riddle stuck here and there in this drama. Including when LBY gave a 'general Huo' placard to replace the CSS fake placard. Since it wasn't really necessary, from the start he just needed to find a way to get CSS home, or take the fake plaque so it wouldn't reach the emperor.

I think CSS also mentioned directly to LBY about LBY betraying her in this 'Bridge collapse' scheme, and LBY didn't deny it at all (I just forgot what episode it was in, I guess I'll rewatch it again later😂😅)

I'm actually looking forward to what the emotions will look like when in the end this LBY character is at a crossroads to choose

Ok. This is my deduction. When Qi qi visited CSS, Qi qi was surprised when CSS said that it was her grandmother who had reported to CSS's parents. Qi qi even questioned how her grandmother knew? if Qi qi itself is near CSS do not know. Meanwhile, Old Madam Wang was nowhere to be seen when the incident occurred. The only one who really knows about the 'Collapse bridge' scheme other than CSS is LBY, who has direct access to communicate with Old Madam Wang is LBY (just like when LBY did the map retrieval scheme, even General Wang was not aware that his mother had co-operated with LBY then using CSS hand)

Yep. Character LBY itself is the type that is stuck in the past. The main goal of his life is to take revenge for the massacre of almost his entire family. He grew up in a palace full of schemes and intrigue. Love was definitely not his priority at all, at least for the 21 years of his life. And falling in love with CSS was clearly out of the scheme of his original purpose😂

That's because the 'time setting' in historical dramas is the past, the era where conservative culture prevailed in society

I guess it's because general wang is a talented person and a neutral party in the palace. His loyalty was pure to the emperor. In addition, both general Wan and general Cheng were people who were involved in helping Gu city in the rescue of the Huo family

Qi qi shock then tells CSS how did her grandma know? even her who is close to CSS doesn't know.

LBY is the type of person full of schemes. Schema within schema. Even HZJ said LBY was cunning and cruel, cause she saw by herself how LBY's way of interrogating when her was in LBY's headquarters. I guess only HZJ among other noble women who thinks that marrying LBY is not an advantage at all (it coz she was know the fact by her own eyes). (this is the scene when CSS comes to YL and HZJ's wedding)
