Gu Won is human in his past life and the girl who is sword dancing are Do Hee however Do Hee is actually demon. She saved him which got her dead that her demon tattoo transferred to Gu Won (the reason why he couldn’t remember his human life is could be that it’s side effect of becoming demon or it’s from the accident, that got Do Hee died, cause him to lose his memories). Gu Won as a demon try to save her but got drowned so he meant to be dead in order for the tattoo transferred to her however Do Hee saved him which is supposed to not happen like that.
Y’all have to understand the ending is actually happy, it’s not sad nor open ending. It’s showing they ended up together in their next life. But I prefer to see Jun O got his memories back so he can be with her because they deserves it so much 😭
