MDL does not let me vote with 0.0...
I watched all 9 episodes and it was already so painful, but somehow it just keeps getting worse. šŸ˜‚ 0 is actually a generous score. They should have negative ratings! I know GagaOOLala takes on almost any crap show, but how did this even get approved by iQIYI? 😭

Probably the first time I’ve agreed with you šŸ˜„ This is the worst show of 2026, and I 100% agree with your 1 rating!

ā€œIf realism is your standard, then explain how Sun managed to fight off more than 10 men by himself and survive.…
Exactly! If we nitpick every little thing, we won’t be able to enjoy the drama. As long as it’s entertaining and we’re having fun watching it, that’s all that matters.

lol person who reviewed this is so up their ass.Likes to "critique" but does not like it when their own…
You wrote a lot, but you still haven’t established the one thing that actually matters here. You are treating your personal preference about how people should respond to reviews as if it were an MDL rule. It isn’t.

You are entitled to your opinion, your analysis, your rating, and your way of reviewing a series. I have never said otherwise. What you are not entitled to do is decide that other users are only allowed to correct factual errors but are somehow forbidden from disagreeing with your interpretation or responding to your reasoning. That is your personal expectation, not a rule everyone else has to follow.

You said, ā€œI expect you to not comment on opinions.ā€ That is where your argument falls apart. Your entire review is an opinion. You posted it publicly on a platform where other users can read it, comment on it, agree with it, disagree with it, challenge the reasoning behind it, or add another perspective. You cannot post a public opinion and then invent a rule afterwards that says people are only allowed to respond when you have made a factual mistake.

You also keep saying that my response accomplishes nothing because it will not change your opinion or rating. That is irrelevant. I am not replying with the expectation that I will change your mind. By that logic, nobody should ever discuss anything they disagree about because the other person might not change their opinion. A discussion does not become pointless simply because the person you are responding to remains unconvinced.

You are also making a distinction between ā€œcorrecting factsā€ and ā€œcriticizing opinionsā€ that makes no sense in this context. You presented your reasoning for why you considered certain things flaws in the series. I responded to that reasoning and explained why I viewed those same things differently. I did not tell you that you are forbidden from having your opinion. I gave you another opinion in response to yours. That is called discussion.

And no, I do not need to ā€œthink about itā€ simply because you told me to. I already thought about it. That is precisely why I responded to your points instead of blindly accepting your interpretation. You are free to consider flight times, logic, realism, or anything else when deciding your rating. I am equally free to explain why I think those points are insignificant, unrealistic expectations, or simply something I disagree with.

If MDL has a rule that says users cannot reply to someone else’s opinion with their own opinion, then show me that rule. If it doesn’t, then your personal expectation that I ā€œshould not comment on opinionsā€ has no authority over what I choose to comment on.

I will follow MDL’s actual rules, not rules created by individual reviewers because they dislike people disagreeing with them. You can write your reviews however you want, give whatever rating you want, and defend whatever opinion you want. I will do exactly the same with my own comments.

And honestly, considering you have hundreds of reviews and plenty of people have already responded to your opinions, I highly doubt I am going to be the last person who disagrees with something you write. If you genuinely cannot handle people responding to your opinions, perhaps the issue isn’t how other people comment. Perhaps the issue is expecting a public review platform to function like a private diary where nobody is allowed to challenge what you write.

First of all, my email account was hacked, so I cannot reset my password and had to create a new account. I was NOT banned from MDL. That is your assumption, and you are simply wrong.

This is literally my first time replying to you, so how exactly have you decided that I ā€œhate youā€? Again, another completely baseless assumption. And I’m a fangirl? How would you possibly know that after one comment? You seem incredibly confident in making assumptions about people you have never even spoken to before.

Let me put it this way: imagine if I assumed you had a mental disorder based on one comment you made. You obviously wouldn’t appreciate that, would you? So maybe think twice before making personal assumptions about other people when you have absolutely no evidence.

You can apparently tell that I hate you and that I’m a fangirl after ONE comment? That is quite impressive. You must be able to predict everything about a person from a single paragraph. If I’m a fangirl, why would I even reply to your comment when you gave the series an 8/10 which is a very high score? Wouldn’t I be more likely to reply to people who gave the series a low score? I replied to you because of your analysis saying ā€œunderwhelming rushed finale and too condensedā€

And where exactly was I ā€œspreading hateā€? All I did was respond to your analysis about the flight, pointing out that different countries have different laws regarding the transfer of shares, and I also gave my opinion about your comment that the series should have had 12 episodes instead of 10. That is called having a different opinion and engaging in a discussion. How exactly is that spreading hate?

You need to chill, mate, and stop making assumptions about people. You have been wrong about pretty much everything you assumed about me.

And since this is YOUR review, let me ask you something: do you actually expect everyone who comments to agree with everything you say? You are free to have your opinions, but other people are equally free to give feedback, disagree with your analysis, or point out where they see things differently.

If you genuinely don’t want people disagreeing with your reviews or discussing your opinions, then that’s fine. Put a comment in saying ā€œagreed to me only otherwise don’t commentā€. But don’t accuse me of ā€œspreading hateā€ just because I disagreed with you. Having a different opinion is not hate, and giving you feedback is not bashing you.

Thank you, Ella. After I wrote that, Eliot_Rulez blocked me, so I couldn’t reply back at all. It looks like he’s just unblocked me, but honestly, you said everything perfectly and I agree with everything you said.

It’s a public comment, and if we choose to post our reviews here, people are allowed to reply back. That’s literally what the reply button is for. You can’t tell me off, tell me to leave you alone and not write anymore, then block me so I can’t even respond.

I’ve also noticed this with his other reviews. When people agree with him, he’s happy to reply and continue the discussion. But when someone disagrees, he always seems to argue back. There’s no right or wrong opinion here. That’s the whole point of having public discussions on MDL.

It's funny that you wrote an entire paragraph trying to prove the finale is "ridiculous" because of airline schedules. This is a fictional drama, not a documentary about commercial aviation.

Your entire argument assumes Jay had to book a normal commercial flight with multiple layovers. The series never says that. Have you heard of private jets or chartered flights? Wealthy people in dramas use them all the time. You're calling it a plot hole based on an assumption you made yourself, not something the show actually established.

What's even more ironic is that you're demanding absolute realism in one scene while ignoring the countless unrealistic moments throughout the series. If realism is your standard, then explain how Sun managed to fight off more than 10 men by himself and survive. Explain how characters constantly recover from serious injuries within days. Explain every dramatic coincidence that exists in almost every action drama. You accepted all of that, yet somehow a flight is where you decided realism suddenly matters.

Your criticism isn't consistent. You're selectively applying realism only when it supports your argument.

And about the wrongful transfer of shares, are you a lawyer? Even if you are, are you a Thai lawyer? Every country's laws are different. Just because something requires a court order where you live doesn't mean Thailand works the same way. And even if it did, how do you know it wasn't done off screen? TV shows don't have to show every legal document and every step of the process.

Then there's your point about the series needing 12 episodes. That argument falls apart when you actually look at the runtime instead of just counting episode numbers.

Episode 7 was 75 minutes, Episode 8 was 87 minutes, Episode 9 was 68 minutes, and Episode 10 was 72 minutes.

A standard Thai series is usually around 50 minutes per episode. Twelve 50 minute episodes equals roughly 600 minutes. Payback's total runtime is already longer than that. I actually added up the minutes, and the series exceeds the runtime of a typical 12 episode drama.

So saying "it should have been 12 episodes" because the number sounds better doesn't make much sense. It already had more content than many 12 episode series. If some storylines weren't resolved the way you wanted, that's a writing preference, not proof that the show literally needed two more episodes.

You also criticize the adaptation for changing the manhwa, but adaptations are not supposed to be carbon copies. If every adaptation copied the source material scene for scene, there would be no creative interpretation. It's perfectly reasonable to prefer the manhwa, but treating every change as automatically worse is subjective, not objective criticism.

At the end of the day, it's fine if you didn't like the finale. Everyone has different opinions. But building an entire argument around commercial flight schedules in a fictional series while overlooking far bigger unrealistic moments isn't the strong criticism you think it is.

Thank you so much. 5 episodes to go, glad it’s refreshing as many series the leads get together at the end, so happy a different romance approach for this one

I know Chinese dramas are usually a slow burn, but can someone spoil it for me and tell me when they have their first kiss? I need something to look forward to. I’m only on episode 3, so I know I still have a long way to go.

"To have a relationsship with the a man whos uncle killed his mom, seems a bit too ridicilous for me especially…
Clearly, he rushed through the series and did not pay attention. šŸ™„
The fire was an accident. Taking Gaysorn's scent had a purpose and is literally the reason the story exists. If Scent never did that, they would never have met.
And saying they should not be together because of what Scent's uncle did is ridiculous. They were already madly in love before finding out the truth. Scent is not responsible for his uncle's crime. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø
This review honestly feels like he either did not watch the show properly or had already decided to hate it before pressing play. šŸ˜’

Clearly, you rushed through this review. You hated Love in the Moonlight and even admitted that you did not expect much from this series before watching it. That is like ordering spicy food and then complaining that it is spicy afterwards šŸ˜‚šŸŒ¶ļø.
If Peak and Pearl get another show in the future, I can already imagine you watching it, writing another negative review, and repeating the same complaints šŸ˜….
Honestly, it might save you some time and frustration if you simply skip their next project. Not every show is for everyone, and that is completely fine. What gets tiring is seeing the same negativity over and over again when your expectations were already low from the start šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø.
At some point, if you know you do not enjoy a particular pairing or style of storytelling, why keep coming back just to complain about it? šŸ˜…šŸ“ŗ
