Record of Youth Flashback

The first 5 or 6 episodes were enjoyable and fun to watch. When they started getting into flashbacks, I got totally lost. In one episode that character would say something and you'd think it was said at that time, but then in the next episode the scene would be replayed but there would be more to it so I'd wonder didn't I just see this is the last episode. This wasn't done just once, but quite a few times that I'd wonder if they were just doing it to make 16 episodes or did they really want to lose me.
The chemistry between the actors seemed forced to me. The lead male seemed kinda stiff and I felt he wasn't the best actor for that part. The lead female was more relaxed, but I felt her character lacked true feeling and has this wall around her keeping everyone out, even those who she says she loves.
The supporting cast to me made the series, the manager was excellent as was the rich woman, mother to the co star.
Lastly, I have never seen a character become a star, then be trashed, then be revived, then be trashed, then be revived. It seemed like that last episodes were how many time can he be smeared and still survive.

What's with the direction

The acting is so-so, with the lead actress pretty good, except her blind walking needs work. She seems to 'see' where she's going, (ie walking up and down steps, walking into new room and not bumping into anything, eg). The lead actor, (my father told me if you don't have anything nice to say about someone don't speak).
The music and scenery s very nice so that is a positive, but the direction is awful. When someone has a disability concerning one sense, usually the other sense are more acute. A blind girl come to the apartment building and talks with her brother's room mate for some time, the next scene that same guy comes to the blind girl and acts as if he's her brother. She never associated his voice to the room mate? A guy comes up to two girls having a cat fight and the next scene you see some other character walking out of a building and one of the girls and the guy are following her? The lead actor is driving a car in the countryside and stops, tells the blind girl to get out of the car as we have to talk about your wedding and the next scene they are in their Chocolate coffee house, which is in the city, talking about the wedding? The lead actor gets stabbed and goes to the hospital and when he walks out of the hospital, gets in a fight and acts as if nothing had happened, stomach is completely healed.
When the distractions become so obvious, it makes the series unwatchable.
