One of the things that the producers should have learned by now is that viewers aren’t interested in a drama…
Awesomely said!

I have to wonder what Jae Jin and Joo Young thought for example. Are they wondering why their love story was practically edited down to a few sound bites or a few glances an episodes.

They actually end up making you resent some of the couples or individuals that come on the show because they steal all of the air time.

Like Go Eun had a whole chunk of the last part of episode 9 on her date. Then they show her AGAIN on the same date but in a different setting. How much air time does she need talking to the SAME guy?

Watching Jae Jin feed Joo Young was heartwarming. I loved it when she talked about getting into her pajamas. Did you see the look on his face when she held them up ? I bet he needed a cold shower 🤣🤣🤣

They should realize that we'd like to see it. Sometimes I don't get Netflix, they'll order a certain number of episodes for a show with an often boring or confusing plot line that could clearly be wrapped up in 8 episodes and needlessly stretch the darn thing out to somehow get 16 episodes often until everyone is merely just chewing the scenery waiting for the finale.

And then on the flip side, they'll take a very interesting plotline in a Kdrama OR fiddle around with an existing POPULAR dating show and whittle down ALL of the important interactions and touchy feely stuff between potential couples while trying to cram it into 12 episodes.

This show definitely helps to pad your resume.

I'm a hopeless romantic and so all kidding aside, I think it really was FATE that brought Kim Jae Jin and Lee Joo Young together ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I agree with you. I also don’t understand why the hosts were so enamored with I Geon — he’s not that great…
I guarantee you he contacted Ha Eun after the show...

Raiyah, I know you're out there. It seems like you're a bit shy today but I'm sure you'll get around to sending him your birthday wishes 😉

Adding additional 15-20 mins of the last episode for contestants revealing their age and job won’t hurt Netflix,…
I feel like we got robbed of that. I wanted to see everyone's reaction to finding out each other's jobs AND ages. Yes, they were all so shocked about Nadine.

Dammit, Singles Inferno and Netflix, stop screwing around editing out all of the scenes we WANT to see.

I swear that nearly 3/4 of Jae Jin and Joo Young's interactions in Inferno AND on their way to Paradise and also IN Paradise are on the damn cutting room floor. What happened to their breakfast scenes? Did they not go into the pool to flirt even once? I call bull$hit on that. Pardon my French...

On Single’s Inferno Season 5 Feb 10, 2026
With regards to Go Eun's "Male Harem" I felt like the new guy, Jo I Geon didn't really want her, that is to say not like Hyeon Woo or Sung Min wanted her.

I believe he just didn't want anyone else to have her because he plays to win. Doesn't matter what the subject is, he has to be the top dog no matter what. Like getting into her good graces and walking away together was more of a challenge he set up for himself than it was for him to actually find someone that he actually wanted to be with and leave Inferno with. Plus let us not forget, the show gives him exposure. What actor wouldn't want to showcase themselves.

We found out that although he and Go Eun did not personally know each other beforehand outside of the show, they WERE somewhat familiar with one another because they existed more or less in the same circles because of their mutual friends and/or acquaintances so my best guess is that there was someone that he had a particularly nasty grudge with OR dare I say, even hated him (he used the word, a$$hole a couple of times to describe someone that Go Eun dated previously) and to me it was more of a way for him to be able to give THAT guy the middle finger.

I'm still waiting for the shocking turn of events to happen. I mean the editing sure suggested something outrageous. Maybe it happened when I went to make a sandwich 🤣

And also, let me just say the fact that he kept bringing up Ha Eun right in front of Go Eun told me that he was just there to play mind games and kick some sand around in the sand box. If it were me, his behaviour would have yielded him the boot right away...

I literally had to laugh when the host, Hong Jin Kyung said:
"It wasn't just a few select couples that caught our interest. Every single couple brought something unique and engaging to the table"

Actually it WAS just a few select couples that caught YOUR interest as the hosts because that's all you ever showed was your favorites aka the ones that provided the most drama for you to talk about on your show.

You seriously never gave Joo Young and Kim Jae Jin enough airtime on screen and as a viewer we missed out on a lot of their special moments so yeah I'm pissed that the show held back so much stuff.

I actually wish that the show would release some episodes of interactions between the couples that we didn't get to see.

I think I was kind of afraid of there potentially being a connection between Jae Jin and Ha Eun when she brought up her background and how she was a dancer because I thought oh here we go, the show is going to try and link these two together with that commonality that they have for dance.

The funny thing though is if you go back and you watch Joo Young's bio introduction she had on ballet clothing and ballet slippers and yet you know I'm really surprised that they didn't show us that conversation between the two of them because she could have said that she does ballet especially with him being a contemporary dancer but of course for some strange reason they did NOT spend too much time highlighting their conversations but the fact remains that once again there's something that Jae Jin and Joo Young have in common. There it is again...FATE

Yes, remember when they were discussing their ages and how close they are (she being 26 and he being 28) they went on to discuss their jobs and I found it interesting that Jae Jin asked her IF she liked what she was doing right now for work. I thought that was a really thoughtful question. He was interested enough to ask that rather than the typical question being, "What do you do for a living?" I think he could gauge from her answer that she really enjoyed what she did rather than her job being just something that she was doing without heart, does that make sense?

So after Joo Young told Jae Jin that she was a craft artist, and then he told her that he was a contemporary dancer she excitedly said, "We would have been in the same department in school". I think her realization was that she was referring to where each of them grew up, SO had they grown up in the same town/place, they surely would have been in the same department and met sooner. Again, there is that FATE circling in on them.

I didn't see any chemistry with Ye Jin and Jae Jin and they knew it as well. I'm really pleased that she didn't try to take another go at him again like most gals probably would have. And kudos to Jae Jin as well, once he took Joo Young to Paradise and their interaction began, he had something to compare their differences to. He definitely felt a connection with Joo Young and her with him as well. You could see how he looked at her and how their conversation flowed, he felt like things were clicking and falling into place. FATE.

People should also take note that yes, he went to Paradise with Ha Eun but it was only because she picked him when she first arrived halfway through the show. Although he seemed jovial with her, I think he was just trying to make the best of a situation that he knew was not going to progress any further from his side. I love how Jae Jin still took the time to take a picture of those flowers for Joo Young so she was on his mind even though she was in Inferno and he was there with someone else.

And after Hyun Jae won that challenge and picked Joo Young, Jae Jin could have picked Ha Eun just for the sake of going to Paradise instead of being stuck in Inferno BUT he didn't. That's how you know that Jae Jin is not a player. He found his person.
She even asked him if he was interested in anyone or something to that effect and he told her that he believes that he found someone who is best suited for him. Very loyal.
He obviously had to let Joo Young go through the process of picking between him and Hyun Jae because Hyun Jae made his feelings known to everyone during the campfire truth session. So Jae Jin played it cool and let FATE do it's magic.
We even saw that Ha Eun wanted to go to Paradise again and wrote down Jae Jin's name for a Paradise match up but he didn't bite.
Jae Jin knew what he had with Joo Young was in his words, "Precious" ❤️

P.S. Just to note Joo Young went to Sangmyung University in Seoul and Jae Jin went to Hanyang University in Seoul and the driving distance between the two campuses is approximately 12–13 km. Wow, so close

At the 18:25 marker of episode 16, if you look into the mirror when android Nam and So Bong's drunk dad are in the boxing ring you can clearly see the cameraman dragging or pulling the camera with its light on as it swings around 😜😜😜
And in episode 23 you can see the guy holding the big boom microphone through the reflection on the door panel of the car towards the end of the episode 😮😮
